   Unable to cope with demand. Always such a long wait for prescriptions even when they have been sent down from clinic in advance 20 mins earlier! I live 25 miles away so it's not like I can just pop back. Staff always seem fed up and overworked. There needs to be a better system or larger pharmacy for a major city hospital.

   Went to pick up my first batch of chemo tablets ,after seeing the doctor we were sent round to the combined day unit to wait for the prescription, after about 2 hours we were stil waiting,I went the receptionist to find out what was happening and she said they were waitin for the pharmacy. We were at the hospital fo nearly 5 hours only to be told the pharmacy had,not got the tablets. They were delivered to me the next day.

   Well presented store, perhaps let down by a few staff that seem uninterested in helping customers and don't have enough product knowledge.

   This has got to be the worst experience of collecting a prescription ever,it took about 2 and half hours, and according to some of the NHS staff a 4 hour wait isn't uncommon. I'd been in hospital 9 days after suffering a stroke and was desperate to get home and the wait was unbearable, I find it very difficult to understand why the Royal Derby Hospital can't find a different pharmacy to replace Boots. Surely no one could be worse

   Told wait was an hour, 2.5hours later I'm still here. My order has appeared on the ready for collection list but when I ask about it they say they are just making it. Slowness is one thing but a lack of honesty makes it so much worse. Also this pharmacy is no longer a Boots.

   Packed solid.. You have to queue to hand them your prescription (which took 10 mins or so) then wait around for them to shout ya name (we was sat for nearly an hour) crazy... Why can't the hospital Dr's etc give you a normal prescription then it's up to you whether you wait or take it to your own chemist!!!

   Not Boots anymore, now Pride Pharmacy, but still as equally useless. If at all possible, DO NOT waste your time with this broken system. I don't know what is wrong with this place, but be prepared to be stood around for 1 hour plus with zero information. I am lucky to live a short walk away, I dropped off my prescription, went home, and returned three hours later. The screen displays prescriptions being processed and prescriptions ready for collection but it is not accurate. I was stood for another hour with a dozen other people, none of our ticket numbers were displayed as being processed or ready. Then the screen went blank, so I decided to join the long queue for the Collections counter, 30 minutes later I reached the counter and after a five minute search they found my completed prescription. Like I say, don't trust the screen, just go straight to Collections.
