I called in today to ask the best medication for heartburn. The young lady was so helpful and knowledgeable I am so grateful. These people need our support please go there instead of the supermarket. Plus parking is convenient too.

Too many issues to list, they forgot my inhaler which I needed desperately. They wouldn't post it ! As I live 20 mins away. So now have to return again, with flu!!

Rude staff with bad attitudes - the Ripley branch is far better, by a country mile! I visited the Belper branch of Peak Pharmacy to collect a prescription for a pet, on behalf of a family member who was unable to collect it themselves due to illness. Admittedly, despite the family member informing me prior that I needed to advise the staff about it being a vet prescription (I've never collected medication for a pet from a high street pharmacy before), I forgot to say this, which was an oversight on my part, however that absolutely does not excuse the poor attitude / response I received following this... After I announced the pet's name, the staff member searched for it on what I now know must have been the NHS system, which took around 10 seconds at the very most. She then told me that she was unable to find it on the system, proceeded to walk into the dispensing room and asked me if it was for an animal. After I answered "yes" she, along with two other members of staff who were working in the dispensing room all complained at me (at the same time) in a very agitated tone, mumbling words to the effect of how they're not to know this if customers don't initially inform them of it when requesting the prescription. I apologised and explained how this is the first time I'd collected medication for an animal, adding a bit of comic relief by ending with "as you can tell!" The lady who was serving me then handed me the meds and explained rhat they can't immediately differentiate between human and pet prescriptions, since the vets just dump them in the pharmacy unlabelled. I'm not sure what this had to do with anything, as this wasn't my problem and it literally took her a minute for herself and the other two members of staff to find it. In fact, this whole visit lasted 2 minutes, tops! All-in-all, totally unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour. If I had come in with an attitude myself, then I would understand their responses, but I acted nothing other than polite and friendly. Also, the pharmacy was empty throughout the interaction, so it's not as if they were getting frustrated with me due to a long queue, not that this would've been an excuse. My partner and I left feeling quite shocked about it how the staff behaved when it was so unwarranted. I also spoke to someone I know who uses this pharmacy and they agreed about how the staff can be rude and abrupt. I'm guessing that the 4 and 5 star reviews on here are either from customers who catch them on a good day, the staff themselves or maybe even their friends and family. Management - it's time to re-train your staff on basic customer service skills!

Team Manor King Street are always helpful, caring and professional. Thank you for your expertise especially when working under very difficult Covid restrictions.

Great pharmacy, lovely team who help you out with your pharmacy needs. They’ve been really covid secure during the pandemic too.

I have been taking my prescriptions to this pharmacy for a few years now as it is the nearest dispensing chemist to me. Since the employment of a pharmasist whom I can at best describe as supercillious, this experience has not been a positive one. This particular individual has been employed for a couple of years now and the term 'job's worth' doesn't exactly cover this person's attitude. In addition, there is an assistant who is extremely rude. This is somewhat surprising as prior to the employment of the problematic pharmacist, the assistant was actually pleasant to deal with. Overall, bearing in mind that this is a relatively small town and there are a couple of other local pharmacies, whoever owns Manor Pharmacy on King Street would do well to consider running a course on interpersonal skills for these two employees specifically. The experience I had today has prompted this review due to deep anger at the treatment received. This is by no means the first time in recent months. It will, however, be the last. In fairness, the problems lie firmly with these two individuals rather than the rest of the staff who are very friendly and efficient.
