   Importing a car from Germany has been one of the most confusing and frustrating processes I’ve ever been through – from paying customs duties to completing the NOVA, tracking down all the correct paperwork, and even figuring out how to get an MOT on an unregistered BMW. There were so many hoops to jump through, and I was feeling completely overwhelmed… until I spoke to Christine at Specialised Shipping Services. Christine has been incredible from start to finish. She hand-held me through the entire process, answering every question (and there were a lot!), being incredibly thorough, clear, and supportive at every stage. She genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly and smoothly. Her knowledge and attention to detail were second to none. I honestly don’t know how I would have managed without her.    With no prior knowledge of importing vehicles from the states and after ringing around lots of companies but still feeling very uniformed finally speaking to Christine felt like a breath of fresh air. She explained the whole process very thoroughly to me, and true to her word, everything went exactly how she said it would in our first conversation.    Professional, tailored service and affordable. Huge thanks to Chris and the team for looking after us! We moved from Republic of Ireland to UK and brought our Irish registered car with us. I sent an email out to Specialised Shipping looking to convert it to UK registration. Chris rang me immediately and explained what's needed in order to satisfy DVLA requirements. From the start, I knew that I am in good hands. No hidden expenses, all accounted for in the invoice and it is certainly better than some other company that offered the same service. Bar some delays due to royal mail strikes, the whole process was smooth and efficient. I can't recommend them enough for a brilliant job they've done!

   The whole team is amazing. From the guy at the workshop to everyone in the office. They were really accommodating and understanding to any changes or anything needed to be done. My mustang was work on right away once they got it from the USA. They assist me through anything that i don’t understand.    Chris and Specialised Shipping Services have helped me several times to register imported vehicles. The latest involved proving to HMRC that a classic Jaguar XJR6 I imported is a collectors' car and as such, does not pay the same import duty as a modern car. This took months and months, due to the glacial pace at which HMRC move. However, thanks to the tenacity and professionalism of Specialised Shipping Services we got there in the end! A great result, from a brilliant company to work with.
