What a shame. Used to be such an inviting and friendly store, and now the staff are being forced by management into following their awful decisions. A queue right around the corner, as only 1 till was open, yet two other staff frantically trying to speak to customers (the majority paying cash, asking for replacements, gift cards etc) if they want to use the self service. Its still the same great store, still the same great team, but Dunelm no longer wants your business, and is doing everything to turn you away, and create problems for their team.

Utterly Disappointed: Wasted Time, Damaged Product, and Appalling Staff Attitude I have been a frequent customer at Dunelm, but my visit to the Kettering store for a click-and-collect order yesterday has ensured I will not be returning. The entire experience demonstrated a complete disregard for customer service and quality control, culminating in rudeness from the staff. The item in question, a dish drying rack, was presented to me in a box that was visibly broken, battered, and wrapped extensively in transparent tape. It clearly bore the marks of a prior return. When I raised my concern and directly asked the attending staff member if the item inside was okay, she confidently dismissed my worries, stating, "Donβt worry, youβll be fine, item itβs spot on weβve checked it." Trusting this assurance, I drove half an hour back home, only to unbox the item and find it was, in fact, badly damaged with one side visibly coming apart. I immediately drove the half hour back to the store, having now wasted an hour of my time and a significant amount of fuel due to their negligence and false reassurance. Upon returning, the original lady who served me suddenly "vanished." Another colleague offered an apology, but with a noticeable layer of irony, which was entirely unhelpful and dismissive. The original staff member eventually reappeared and her response was utterly shocking: "So the item is broken then?" There was zero hint of apology for the wasted time, the fuel cost, or the blatant lie regarding the item's condition. I requested a simple swap, but was told they had no stock, and they flat-out refused to place an order for me to collect the next day. They instead processed a refund that I was informed will take 5 days to clear. This level of serviceβfrom deliberately handing over a known damaged return to the outright rude and unhelpful attitude of the staff, who couldn't even manage a sincere apology for my massive inconvenienceβis unacceptable. This is not the standard I expect from Dunelm. I will be taking my custom elsewhere from now on.

Popped into Dunelm in Kettering and treated myself to a new Dorma duvet ready for the colder months. On first impressions it looks like itβs going to keep me brilliantly warm and just what I needed for winter, just wished it filled the corners of my duvet cover better!

Visited the Kettering store this morning with a friend who wanted to buy a heated airer. Rachel the assistant was very helpful in talking about the product and then kindly helped me take the product to the car and negotiate it into the space available. Friendly, polite and professional. Great variety of stock. Furniture is a bit quirky. Good range of bedding. Always find something interesting to buy. Staff ratio sometimes runs lean leading to small checkout queues.

Here to help colleague good to start knowledge of store layout, second part not so good item I was looking for not on shelf so went back I showed online that says they where in stock and she replied that the website is usually wrong and they get deliveries everyday you'll have to pre order them - went to the till with one item out of the two I managed to get I asked again to a different young lady in green she went to check the shelves to confirm then checked the storeroom to then find the product was actually in stock 06/03/2023

Not possible to go lower. Don't bother to order made to measure curtains. It says 2 weeks delivery on the advertisements. Now 5, still waiting. Why did I not learn from last time when I canceled the order after 4 months waiting. Rubbish service.

I was surprised how dusty some shelves were and some tiles on the floor were missing, simply sad looking store, price is high for same items you could find in competitor store's for cheaper prices. Personally don't see any reason shopping here in the future. I'm split between giving this store 2/3 stars.

Walked into the shop and asked a member staff at the front door for a basket. Got told there aren't any, all being used up. What a great first impression when you walk into a shop! Then, I discovered the majority of baskets were being used by staff to throw away sticker labels and plastic bags. Also asked a lady for help in the light department, she didn't even talk to me just spoke through a headset and said someone will be with me. The person who arrived was so rude they abandoned me and never came back! Such a shame that the staff let this shop down.

The staff here are rude and unhelpful, went in to get new lights. Asked a member of staff if I could see one of the lights lit up, she left us to go and find one.... and never came back. We then watched her helping a member of staff at the check out and she totally ignored her as we walked by. We were left there for so long without any communication. Such a shame and profits were wasted as I took my business to the Range instead.
