I have had a child in Woodberry since 2019 ( pre covid!) and my youngest is still there. I have nothing but praise for everyone who has cared for both my children in the 5/6 years we have been there. Many of the practitioners have been there the whole duration. My children have thrived, developed well, made friends for life and eaten like princesses with exciting nutritious meals every day! My eldest had severe eczema when she was younger and everyone was extremely supportive helping us manage it there and her time consuming health plan! For that I will always be grateful. The early years practioners and keyworkers are an absolute credit and work so hard for the children in thier care. Activities are fun and my youngest always talks about her day in the car! It saddens me to see the flippant, disgruntled not to mention badly written negative reviews from a few 'bitter' people trying to slander. Not sure of thier agenda but as a longstanding parent I can assure that these comments are not the experience we or other parents I know have had. Staff are attentive, patient( my child is very very shy), caring, and great with communicating a handover. This nursery is not our closest or in our school catchment but we feel our children are safe, well cared for and develop well that it is worth the extra commute in the morning. I highly recommend Woodberry Sholing and feel that after 6 years I know the setting well enough to give an honest and thoughtful review.

Both of my children have attended Woodberry Sholing with my eldest leaving recently to start school. The children are well cared for and staff who are attentive and supportive. Everyone is always really friendly and talk to me about my child’s development. I’ve watched the progress of the setting over the last 4 years and feel that they continue to get better and better even when faced with sector wide issues. I do believe this is a nursery that put your children at the heart of it all

I am beyond baffled by the recent reviews for this Nursery. We have had two of our children there over a span of four+ years and would recommend it to anyone. Each of the rooms has a strong leader in who excel at making connections, the supposed 'uncaring staff' are the main reason we send our kids there. Even our oldest who left two years ago now still enjoys going in and seeing his old carers. They have always been accommodating and happy to help, for example checking in when my child gas gad a bad night sleep and was grumpy to let me know they've settled in well. I feel like some of the gripes of recent reviews are both of an unrealistic expectations and coordinated, with the same words used across all of them. Having read them it added me enough to defend the nursery as we've entrusted these people with the care of our kids. Another point, it's never in the past four years been closed due to food issues. New children to a setting are going to get sick, it happens in schools and even university. Other amazing points of the nursery The garden is fantastic The food (variety and quality) is brilliant The handovers are informative and constructive with detailed forms and a conversation about any issues (with phone calls to notify about thinks like falls, which again, happen with young children). I understand my fantastic experiance is going to be matched by everyone, but to criticise the staff and say they don't care and bully is just a flat out lie.

I strongly advise against sending your children to this nursery. Their food and hygiene standards are extremely poor, and the facility has been closed multiple times due to safety violations, which can be verified on the Ofsted website. The staff's treatment of children raises serious concerns, as they display a lack of care and professionalism. When parents bring up valid concerns regarding their children's welfare, rather than addressing or investigating the issues, the nursery responds by reporting the parents to social services—an apparent attempt to intimidate and silence them. This behavior is unacceptable and puts children's safety at risk.

My child is very happy at Woodberry Sholing and is met with warmth and cuddles when she is dropped off. She engages in fun activities and eats a lovely range of meals. She is always happy at pickup and buzzing...if a little shattered from her full day! The Early Years practioners in the toddler room( 2yo) are friendly, fun and are approachable. My child loves them! My eldest was in Woodberry back in 2019, until 2022 and thrived in the preschool room, they were amazing with her and helped us manage my daughters severe eczema in daycare with upmost care, and professionalism. Now my youngest is halfway through her journey. Many of the staff are still present from my eldests time at Woodberry. As a parent of 2 who has a longstanding experience of this nursery since 2019 I wholly recommend Woodberry Sholing for all ages.

My granddaughter attends this nursery and we are so happy with the level of care and attention she receives. We are always greeted at the door by a friendly member of staff and are given a thorough handover when we collect her. She is always happy and enjoys the fun and stimulating activities on offer to her. Thank you, Woodberry for taking such good care of our precious girl, we wouldn’t want her be any where else.

My little girl attends here and she absolutely loves it! She was quite shy when she first started and is much more confident and comfortable now. She always comes out saying what a good day she has had and about the friends she has made. She loves spending her time in the garden area too.

Really disappointed with the lack of support and care for my child. He is no longer there. Staff weren't able to support his basic needs, he never felt comfortable, staff didn't see any issue with a toddler going all day without food/drink or using the toilet. I spoke multiple times to staff with suggestions which they didn't follow up on. He was just labelled 'fussy'.

Both of my sons went to Woodberry Sholing. The staff were amazing as they progressed through the rooms until they went to school. Everything they experienced at nursery and the relationships and friends they made, gave them the best start for school, so they made the transition easily.
