   Applied to rent a property and was immediately asked for an absurd amount of personal and financial information before even being offered a viewing of their glorious residence. Household income details, credit information, and many more. Fairly surprised that no security clearance was requested. All upfront, all completely unnecessary at this stage. Providing this level of information is normal when actually applying for a tenancy, not when simply asking to view a property. It shows zero respect for applicants’ time or privacy. After submitting everything, there was absolute silence. No update, no response, no basic courtesy message. Not even an automated “sorry, the property has been let” which it clearly has, as I had to find that out myself. Although another suspicion is that i was automatically rejected as plebians like myself are surely unworthy such luxurious accommodation. If this is how potential tenants are treated at the very first step, I can only imagine how existing tenants are dealt with. Honestly feels like a bullet dodged. Classic letting agency behaviour: disorganised, and dismissive. Would not recommend.

   Nick had obviously done his research when he came out to see our property, and we were offered good advice on a realistic listing price. Amy and Ollie in the sales team provided excellent communication throughout the period that our house was on the market and under offer. Amy in particular, supported us in keeping in touch with the status of the chain as we progressed towards completion, and was always prompt and helpful with all communication. Nick offered a sound strategy on regenerating interest when viewings slowed. In hindsight, I wish more advice had been forthcoming when we did receive an offer as I feel we should have sought an increase in the initial bid. Overall, however, Newton Fallowell provided a great service and I would recommend them.

   I have spent the last 7 years having a working relationship with Goodchilds Telford, both as a landlord and as a seller. It all started when I was thinking of selling my house and Nick came to chat to me about it. He was head and shoulders above the other agents I saw as he listened to my situation and came up with a solution to, not only solve a short term problem, but also to set out an alternative plan for the future. Much more than just an agent after a sale! So I set off on a plan of buying a new house and renting out both my partner's house and my house. During the rental period, Nick and Connor have been, not only professional in their work but extremely approachable and friendly, with a common sense, can-do attitude to helping. An efficient tenant search found me a great tenant who was no trouble at all and, whenever any issues did arise, they were dealt with in a balanced and constructive manner. This year the time came for me to sell my property to help fund my retirement and again, Goodchilds were amazing with the way they dealt with the whole process from start to finish, obtaining me an excellent price for my property and a quick sale. Throughout the process they were there with advice where needed. I have just come off the phone from Nick and Connor to thank them personally and it feels like an end of an era. They almost feel like part of the family. I have no hesitation in recommending Goodchilds Telford for any lettings or sales purposes and am proud to say that, in my opinion, they are top of the pile.
