   My son has autism and has had 1:1 lessons with Helen. He is non verbal with many sensory issues and Helen has always been excellent at reading his body language and adapting his lessons to suit his mood on the day. Helen is very knowledgeable about autism and I would 100% recommend her for any other disabled child.

   I’m an adult non swimmer with anxiety around water. My friend persuaded me to start lessons and this place is amazing! Thanks to Helen I’m now able to get straight into a pool and today managed to enjoy time in the pool with my daughter feeling comfortable for the first time ever. Cannot recommend enough!

   Best thing I ever did as you are never to old to learn as it’s made a difference to my wellbeing as well. It’s true better late than never no matter what disabilities you have swimming is one of the best things to do and I’m loving it. If I could do it every day I’d be in the pool all the time. Great people who are very friendly and welcoming and passionate about their work. Thanks again for teaching me how to love swimming and get involved.

   This place is amazing!!!! Jo is absolutely brilliant as a teacher. My daughter has been coming for 4 sessions and has been able to attempt “doggy paddle”, all by herself whilst smiling and completely loving it!!! All down to jo. Jo is so calm, gentle, child centred and just a dream. I feel like she cares about my daughter like a family member would. We come a bit of a distance but it’s definitely worth it!! Thanks jo!!

   clients from the centre I work at have had the pleasure of accessing the amazing hydro pool and have loved every minute! The whole place is beautifully maintained and clean, the staff from splashing stars always make us feel welcome and have a real understanding of disabilities which makes our guys feel at ease! Not to mention the facilities that are there from the tracking hoist, changing plinth, sensory lights in the pool are fantastic. Here really does open its doors to all and there is nothing like this place in Derby it’s unique and been a joy to be accessing seeing the enjoyment from the guys I bring here!
