   Good value, well-located, college accommodation, with an excellent breakfast, but somewhat let down by poor cleaning. We stayed one night in a double room. The location on the cathedral green could not be better. Just a few minutes’ walk for the Salisbury museum, the cathedral and a National Trust Property, all well worth visiting, as well as semi-rural walks and the nearby town centre. Directions could have been clearer and we were initially turned back by the car park attendant for the 'Close' area, until we explained we were staying the night and we were then admitted without the £10 parking charge. The college itself has free parking for visitors. Accommodation is basic, but better than we anticipated. Our large room had a view of the Cathedral spire. We slept well in the comfortable bed. There was a fan for hot days and radiators for cold. Lighting is good. Plenty of power sockets, including on both sides of the bed, and there is a work desk near the window. Storage if required consists of a Wardrobe with many hangers and 3 drawers. The curtains were not great at keeping out light. The Wi-Fi was unusably bad; I had to turn it off and use 4G mobile data instead. The bathroom was well-lit with a large mirror. The shower was adequate for a wash, and the towels were good, but the shower tray needed a thorough clean, as did some areas near the bathroom ceiling. The room itself was moderately clean, but there were a few dead moths on the carpet and dead flies in spiders’ webs by the windows. The windows in the corridors may not have been cleaned for years, judging by thick spider webs inside and out, with some large house spiders visible. The self-service breakfast in the light refectory was pretty good. There was a good range of tea bags and fresh coffee in an urn, but only instant decaff coffee. ‘Continental’ breakfast items included lovely plain and chocolate croissants. jams, peanut butter, honey, Marmite, fruit juices, variety of tinned fruit and some fresh fruit, Kellogg’s and Weetabix cereals (but no granola), a range of yoghurts including natural low fat, a selection of cheeses and brown or white bread for toasting. Cooked breakfast items included bacon, sausages, mushrooms, hash browns, grilled tomatoes and rather dried up fried eggs.

   Absolutely loved my stay here. As a solo traveller, I booked the single room with en-suite. It was so cute and comfortable. Very clean and bright. One of the ladies at the front desk was so friendly and lovely. Location is fantastic, right outside the cathedral. Amazing views. Walking distance from the centre. Free parking. This was the most peaceful and quietest places I’ve ever stayed in. Shower was brilliant. Probably a bit pricey for what you get but it was well worth it and breakfast is included so not too bad but actually a bit disappointed as not the best selection for a vegetarian and the eggs were absolutely vile. I’m hoping it was just a one off bad day. Most the guests didn’t eat the eggs on their plates. The smell was disgusting and taste was sickening. Apart from that, I loved my stay and was quite sad to leave.

   Worst "hotel" (ie religious college renting its empty priests rooms to tourists) I've ever been to. Why? There were no windows. Considering the price asked for a room with shared bathroom and toilet, this was OUTRAGEOUS. That is, windows were completely broken, resulting in a complete absence of windows. I wish I were exaggerating. Was first put in a room without windows (compeltely broken ones, constantly half open into cold air). Can happen. Called the staff, who was super lovely and moved me to a new room... Whose window was also broken. Had to call staff again. They then moved me into a third room... Whose window was, after a 10 minutes struggle, normal, "yay!" So after 1 hour of unpacking, literally climbing into the windows of several rooms with the staff to try and close them and being asked whether I did indeed want windows (in rainy September England?!), being moved, repacking,... I finally got my room. To potential clients : bear in mind that you may have a room with massive cold air leaks. To the College managers : if you are going to take clients in, then please do make sure that you have the basics covered : windows, heating, etc. Breakfast was lovely, it was nice to have bath soap, but basic needs need to be covered first. Otherwise, location is wonderful, breakfast is nice, shared bathrooms were OK-ish but not perfectly clean, and location is quiet but building is not soundproof. I could hear most toilets noises from my bed. Could have been alright had I been paying 25 or 40 pounds for the night. But for 75 it was horrible. For the same price, fellow tourists, please go anywhere else. Staff was incredible though. Huge thanks to them for trying to make a sketchy situation work.

   What a fantastic place! I chose Sarum College for our Salisbury stay as we wanted to be near the Cathedral and the fact that the GBP profile said they were LGBTQ friendly! The location is within the cathedral close which was very special and the staff were very friendly. The room was great (amazing view of the cathedral) and the breakfast buffet was really good. A wonderful place to stay and I look forward to returning in the future. Thank you Sarum College- it was a memorable time!

   Stayed for a two day break and the staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was free and plenty of spaces. The room was clea, functional & well decorated. The mattress was a bit hard, but ok. The location was perfect, as we could see the cathedral from our room, which was fantastic. Plus it was close to other historical houses. Breakfast was serve yourself a choice of full English ( great sausages) or continental. Salisbury is a beautiful place, with an amazing assortment of shops. We visited some beautiful historical places and walked along the river, well worth a visit.

   Although our room on the 4th floor (and under the roof) was hot like an oven yesterday, I asked for a fan and the receptionist on duty gave her fan to me. Pay the extra for the rooms with views of the Cathedral. Worthless. The breakfast is ok and they have on site parking. Please stay here if you ever go to Salisbury.

   This was a great place to stay. For a very decent price I got a small, clean room, shared bath (though it was quite empty and I had it all to myself) and a great breakfast. The view over the cathedral is stunning, the building itself really gorgeous and well maintained, and the staff were fantastic.
