Had a terrible experience at Skinners Burton office today! I booked an appointment to make 'a Will'. This was booked around 6 to 8 weeks ago. I attended my 10.30 appointment punctually this morning, (10 mins early). The receptionist informed me that they no longer do this service anymore, due to a staff member change in circumstance and/ or the branch closing at some point in the near future. When i asked, "why no one had bothered to contact me to let me know?" Her response was, "We did not have your contact number". This is so unprofessional, and a complete waste of my time! Surely, the company are aware of current circumstances with staff and upcoming closure of premises etc, so should have at least took some contact details at the time of the booking, if they thought there may be a scenario where the appointment will not definitely go ahead. If i remember correctly, i even offered to provide my contact details at the time of the booking, but was told it was not necessary. I am so disappointed with this blasé attitude. If i had not shown up for an appointment, they would probably have sent me an invoice. This review really ought to be a 1 star, however; Last time i used Skinners Solicitors a number of years ago, there service was significantly better, hence the 2nd star. Awful, unacceptable, unprofessional customer service.

Had John Skinner as duty solicitor to represent me. He was very helpful as the case is ongoing to the extent that it's now going to Crown Court and offering his personal skills to find me a QC with a wig to stand in as well..John was very understanding to our needs and continue to help me. Thank you John

Bev Kiley ( Skinners) is the best solicitor in Burton, she was recommended to us by our estate agents, and we are so glad to have used her for our house sale, we also used her for our onward purchase, prompt with replies, answers every question in terms which aid your understanding, very good at her job, absolutely 10 out of 10 .

Lovely local solicitors, office is more of a house but quite cold, the reception staff don’t always hear the bell. Lots of parking in the market place that you pay for separately. Solicitor is great and offers a good service. Prices are high on some services.

We were first time buyers, obviously new to all this. This company was recommended to us through friends and we can’t be more grateful. Great service, prompt and polite response to any enquiry regarding purchase etc. All sales process went very smoothly, without a hitch. Solicitor Bev Kiley is just great in a job she does. Thank you!
