   We had our work Christmas party here over the weekend, Lotus went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us. The atmosphere was perfect, drinks were amazing and the food was to die for! Thank you to all the staff that made our night so special and enjoyable - we will certainly be back.

   I am a guy of vintage! 63 to be precise.I made my 1st visit to meet my Son in Law and celebrate his birthday with his mates. Our visit was late afternoon,after going football,4pm.Ive got to say liked the establishments decor and ambience, but the staff were absolutely woeful.I worked 43 years in licensed trade,as a landlord and then in Brewery sales so I'm not just a whining old sod!. There was no obvious management about.The card machine failed,which is not their fault but they had no idea on customer service or needs.They weren't even bothered when I witnessed at least 6 people walk out as waiting at Bar ,no eye or verbal contact from a miserable bunch of demotivated staff.The guy that served me,dissappear for a full 5 mins,then returned and when I asked him politely where my drinks were he couldn't even remember he was serving me. My 1st pint slid of a table, that was sloping And crammed with empty glasses.15 minutes later a wet floor sign appeared ,pint of fluid on floor not mopped up and 20 or do beer glasses still left on a soaking table. My summary, no wonder pubs are closing sadly as they are.Overpriced drinks served or not served by untrained, dimwits with the personality of my shoe! Disgrace!!!

   We booked the upstairs bar for my wife's 60th birthday. Absolutely fantastic night, Lotus was brilliant as were all the staff. Great atmosphere and quality cocktails. Can definitely recommend to anyone thinking of booking.

   My friend and a few others tried to come in, they told us no hoodies which is understandable, we said we’d take jackets off as it was cold then told my black friend to place his hoodie “by the bin” this is unacceptable and quite frankly racism. Telling someone of colour to “place their hoodie” by the bin is disgusting and to be honest it’s really ruined the ratings from security,.

   Came her with My daughter who is Vegan for some food. Although there is only one vegan option on the main menu, my daughter could not praise it enough. I had two small plates, pulled pork tacos were out of this world. Honey glaze buffalo chicken wings were cool to perfection with two fantastic dips. The staff were first class. Efficient, polite and nothing is too much trouble. I can not recommend this place enough.

   Very tasty cocktails and great music choice. Lovely building and a nice atmosphere. Good value. Only giving 3 stars as I nearly didn’t get let in by the bouncers (never had this problem before)
