A really nice pub with a great atmosphere. We stopped by for a drink and ended up staying longer than planned. Our waitress, Kasia, was fantastic — always smiling, super friendly, and genuinely helpful. She recommended a cocktail for my girlfriend which turned out perfect, and suggested a Guest Ale for me that I really enjoyed. Service like this makes a place stand out. Definitely worth a visit!

Very noisy, not enough staff to serve and the tables were full of dirty plates. The building however is amazing and the beer when we eventually got it was cold.I ticked another Spoons of my list and if like me and love all things Wetherspoons it's worth a visit if you're in the area.

It's a Spoon's. Very bright and lovely vaulted ceilings. The history of the place is a good read. Beer selection great, bar service spot on. Food is okay, it's a Spoon's...staff could clear tables and wipe down more often rather than standing around chatting about what they're doing later this evening/weekend. Apart from that the place is pretty clean and nice place to visit.

It's a weatherspoons large breakfast. Never had a bad one. Food cooked perfectly. All very tasty. Really fast service and very polite staff.

As always with Wetherspoons, you know what you're going to get food-wise and you know it'll be quick! Food was lovely, although maybe a bit more katsu curry sauce due to the sauce and rice ratio being a little off. Beautiful building and friendly staff. We were there for dinner one day and breakfast the next.

After redecorated, we almost visited here every Friday after work. The place is big and very traditional and beautiful, with a large bar area. The food, drink and wine is good and cheaper than other pubs and restaurants. Besides, various age group will be here, unlike others just either of the older or the youth. In additional, many families will come to here to get their breakfast as the breakfast menu has much varieties. In summary, it may be the best place in Derby to have a gathering, especially need a big big Venus with many many people joining.

This is a really big weatherspoons, its one of three in Derby and I would say it's the biggest and the main one. Had an extention too since I've last visited and taken ovwr the building next door. Outside area at the back too. It's an old bank so it's very ornate and has a super high ceiling. Being a weatherspoons it has it's typical large and varied selection of beers, ales and ciders. Coffee machines and the usual menu that's pretty standardized nationwide. This weatherspoons is always pretty busy and the food is the standard mid to low quality you would expect from any of them. Has the Thomas Leaper next door which is a slightl more hip weatherspoons with music and more TVs incase youd prefer that.

Came here when it used to be my bank. It's changed a bit since then. They've had an extension and the decorators in. Also got an open kitchen and a very large patio area out the back. Can't give it five stars,it's a wetherspoons after all. But worth a visit.

I've been to lots of Wetherspoons pubs around the UK and I have to say the interior of this building is stunning. Its recently had a £1.7 Million refurbishment in which they have increased the size of the building by occupying the building to the left of it. They have a nice modern beer garden now. The bar is in a large island in the centre of the former banking hall, the ceiling is very high and very decorative, do have a look up when your ordering your drinks. They had two flat (boxed) ciders on, service was quick. The food was good, had the BBQ Melt and the British Bramley apple pie which were both excellent. Look forward to coming to this spoons again.

Nice surroundings but food not up to much. We ordered a pizza and all day brunch. The pizza was raw in the middle and all day brunch was a bit pathetic on bean and chips. Usual sticky tables and dirty floors expected for the price
