We had a pretty painless experience using CGM in the purchase of a property as well as the sale of our own property. Their communication with us throughout the experience was exemplary, both the purchase and the sale completed on the planned completion date with no hiccups. Their fees seemed more than generous and you feel like you are getting something for your money. I could not say the same about all the fees I paid involved in the sale of our property.
I recently used CGM for a house sale and experienced poor communication, unable to get hold of anyone and people constantly out of office or on holiday. I recently enquired about the possible purchase of another property and to obtain a quote. 2 phone calls and details provided with no communication. I was recommend by a family member who had amazing service from yourselves, not sure I would recommend.
Unbelievably bad service. This unfortunately is my first bad review I have had to leave. I required a will to be made. I had an appointment booked on the 12th which got moved to the 24th at a later date. Upon the 24th I had a meeting with an individual who didn't seem to have the answers to questions and she made some notes. After this meeting I received an email asking me to re explain all the info we went over in the meeting, which made me think that appropriate notes where not taken and I therefor didn't see the point in the meeting?. I responded, I didn't get a response, I sent a follow up email to see if they had received my original email. After 8 days from my original email I received a response. The response stated they where unable to advise on my will. So from myself enquiring to their last email was around 1 month, which was total wasted time for myself and their team. A professional approach would be a checklist of initial questions from an enquiry to see if they can help. Not wasting a prospects time for 1 month when they could have completed the requirement else where with a competent firm. Very disappointed, I hope others don't receive the same service.

I recently used CGM for my house purchase and sale and they were great. I was hoping they would be able to assist with an additional land purchase and I called 3 times over 3 weeks and sent an enquiry through on their website to try and obtain a quote. However I was left very disappointed that no one called me back or tried contacting me by email. I phoned another unrelated solicitor yesterday and they promptly gave me a great quote and are already starting the process of my land purchase today.
If you are reading this to help decide whether or not to use CGM, it would be a resounding yes vote from me! This was my second experience of using Caroline and the CGM team and I couldn’t be happier. They responded so well and when unexpected complications arose, they were on the case to keep things moving and keep me informed. Worst experience possible. Michala Smith is extremely rude and refused to communicate with other solicitors and estate agents. She was so aggressive to her own clients they were scared to call her and ask for updates on their purchase. Her incompetentcy to perform basic tasks timely added weeks onto our exchange unessessarily. I would not recommend CGM to anyone! There's plenty of other solicitors look elsewhere.
