Absolutely 5* Customer service. I ordered a specific item on line as unfortunately, I don't live locally and it was shown as out of stock. But Fraser checked and found it and sent it out. Keeping me in the loop the entire time. I miss this type of customer service and shop.

This is more than a chemist it’s a tourist attraction. Absolutely beautiful place

Such a beautiful, historic shop, with a wide selection of lovely gifts as well as the more usual chemist goods. If you want to see original 1840s chemist carboys including the original contents, and an 1870s chemist shop interior, and the ledgers, this is the place! But most importantly I had such friendly and kind service. It was a joy to visit!

Brilliant Victorian chemist totally preserved. Amazing to see and the lady in there was really friendly and passionate about the building. Also looked pretty good as an actual functioning pharmacy too!

The most beautiful pharmacy. Original features and so much history, which the current owner talked us through, along with old photos. Fascinating. A really well stocked shop, with high end products amongst lots of other useful buys. Support these diminishing local businesses - they are irreplaceable ❀️

This is an amazing pharmacy, with all the original fixtures and fittings. We guiltily admitted to only going in for a nose, but they had so many good quality products you don't see often now, that we came out loaded with things to gift for Christmas. The staff were very friendly, and happy to chat about the history and their cabinets and bottles, and got out a few old photos and bits of pharmacy equipment to show us. Will definitely go again next time I'm in the town.

This chemist is worth even a visit. Holds alot of history. No everyday you see the original bottles cupboard n shelves. It's little but busting at the sewns. The pharmacist n staff are very friendly n helpful with any health questions. Even point you the right direction of which professional person advice to see .plus give your contact details. Its MUST VISIT on history of Buxton. Always gets missed

So much more than just a chemist, C.R. Clowes and Son is a magical experience, and their staff are possibly the friendliest I've ever met. Thanks go to Susan for an exceptional and unbeaten level of service, and to Stuart for having had the good sense to employ her in the first place. Very highly recommended, especially for those with an interest in how we once shopped before the World lost its warmth. Our very best regards, Matt and Finn.

An amazing traditional chemist. I've never seen anything like it before but I thought it was wonderful. The old glass bottles and the little compartments, it's truly a step back in time but in a wonderful way.
