   I gave a 5 star for Lots of Knots originally. Tim was great on the first order, he made a huge storage box, that was great quality and at a very good price. Having had such a good experience, I ordered a bespoke shed, and paid upfront on request (having already dealt with Tim, I was comfortable with his request to pay upfront to cover the cost of the materials). The shed never arrived - I chased frequently and Tim eventually told me that he had long covid and was struggling to keep up but he gave me his word that he would deliver. Given my previous positive experience I took his reasons at face value and cut him some slack, I felt conflicted about whether to pressure him or not. However a good 10 months later, Tim hadn’t progressed. I downgraded my order to an extremely simple freestanding shelf unit. He felt he could manage shelves. It would be a very expensive set of shelves but I figured, at this point, it was worth trying to get some value. Nothing ever arrived, shelves, shed or refund. I don’t know whether Tim had intended to scam, or really was ill and just gave up - but I noted he was taking orders (from later reviews) after my order, so perhaps he never intended to deliver the items. Either way, I’d suggest avoiding Tim and Lots of Knots - but if you really, really want to, don’t pay upfront.

   Tim made a console table for me which I loved however there were one or two things wrong with it that I needed adjusted. Despite numerous unreturned emails I have decided to go down the legal route. I’m so disappointed as I think I’ve been very fair, patient and understanding as it’s been a year since the delivery of this console table and despite Tim promising he will correct these issues he is now ignoring all emails. I won’t be giving up and will pursue this to recover some money back as unfinished item. WARNING: Please don’t part with your money until u are completely satisfied.

   I made an order with Tim Watkins from lots of knots some 2 months ago for a console table, I was given a time scale of 4-6 weeks when I’ve attempted to chase up my order, he said there was an issue with trying to get hold of wood stain! That was some weeks ago, Once again I’ve trying to contact him for an update of my order but I’ve been met with silence, I’ve since requested a refund if he can not fulfil my order. SILENCE! Not heard anything from this man. I feel totally scammed by this individual and he seemed so genuine. What’s more is he has even 5 star reviewed his own company! Enough said!

   Not sure how this firm is still trading. After repeated promises to deliver I gave up and contacted my credit card company for a refund. While I hope nothing untoward has befallen Tim, the owner, it feels like we have been conned into paying for nothing.
