I was a customer of small talk back in 2021 where we had a SM diagnosis for my daughter. We were given a large report that had lots of info and also instructions on the sliding in technique. For this I have no complaints. Fast forward a few years, I have been in touch on a number of occasions after help. My daughter was having a lot of meltdowns at home and was having what we thought to be unreasonable behaviour for her age. I reached out a few times with concerns, only to be told to look into “gentle parenting” by Libby and Natasha. Last year, my daughter had huge social issues in school with friends, extremely high anxiety and struggles regulating her emotions. I also mentioned in my email to small talk that we didn’t have an EHCP in place. After ignoring my emails, I eventually had a reply from Natasha - the only help offered was that I could book an appointment for support with an EHCP. No mention of the struggles we were having and no mention of any support or thoughts into the behaviour. This year, my daughter was diagnosed by another facility with ASD. We have suffered for years and I’m quite shocked looking back at how I reached out to small talk on a number of occasions and they never picked up on any of the signs of autism. Considering they are supposed to be well trained in SM and autism, I felt like I was fobbed off on many occasions. I have heard many other customers say great things about Small Talk, but unfortunately for us they haven’t been of any help.

Could not be happier with the service provided by Tasha at small talk. The assessment was very thorough and Isla felt at ease throughout. The report is amazing and just what we needed for tribunal. Thankyou so much ❤️

WORTH A READ..... We were referred to Smalltalk Speech and Language Therapy by our advocate who has been helping people through the EHCP Tribunal process for years. Our son has autism and hyperactive ADHD and we needed a SALT report to assist in getting the correct education setting. The advocate said she likes the fact that their reports are not only "very in-depth and detailed", but they are heavily "specified and quantified", an attribute which is very useful in getting the right help for your child. We met Tasha with our son at their office, which was in a lovely countryside setting. He was quite calm, as he gets very emotionally heightened in busy places. Tasha was really lovely and talked to him, and us, in a way which made you feel relaxed and you could just talk openly and honestly about the whole situation. She spoke to our son testing him as she went whilst he played, so he didn't feel under any pressure. Her report was as promised, very detailed with all key areas of need being specified and qualified. She gave us lots of great advice about how to deal with him or help him cope in certain situations, and she highlighted several traits and patterns of behaviour which we hadn't really considered to be relevant before. I would wholeheartedly recommend Small Talk Speech and Language Therapy to anyone in a similar situation. Many thanks.

Our son attends sessions with Kaye every two weeks and has developed considerably with his speech. Having spoken to other therapists in the company about his specific needs, i know how knowledgeable they all are. The sessions are fun, interactive and he loves attending.

Libby is amazing. She puts your child at ease very quickly. She has a soothing voice and a gentle manner. Her report was fantastic and enabled our child to get the help he needs in the EHCP

Absolutely amazing experience. Small Talk fully understood our son. The assessment - to my son it was a fun experience that didnt impact on his mental needs at all. The report was in depth and was written in terms i could understand, along with all the detailed information required by professionals. Thankyou!
