Torry Battery is a fantastic spot with stunning views over Aberdeen and the coastline. It’s a peaceful place to walk, relax, and even spot dolphins if you’re lucky! The historic ruins add a special charm, and it’s a great spot for photography. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone looking for a quiet escape with amazing scenery.
Excellent for views over Aberdeen and apparently it’s great for dolphin spotting. The battery is very interesting if you’re into WW2 and there’s a tiny little cafe overlooking the fabulous views
Excellent location to enjoy views of the sea. Was also able to catch 2 seals playing in the sea nearby, but could see better with Binoculars. Lovely place.
Torry Battery is just an amazing place and with it now having a cafe and toilets, it’s somewhere you can spend a lot of time at. Good for a walk, it’s also a great area to just sit and take things in. Added-in that you can usually see the resident dolphins, it’s one of the best spots in the City.
The view was nice, and the structure was interesting, but the amount of litter in and around the battery killed the mood. It felt a bit shady, and I didn't feel comfortable walking around in there.
Nice place that tells some of Aberdeen’s history. In addition the spot itself has wonderful views of the town and the harbor. There’s a cafe and a golf course.
The Torry Battery was built in the 1800s and was used in both World Wars to defend Aberdeen Harbour and was decommissioned in the 1950s. This is a very good place to view Aberdeen Harbour and also good for spotting dolphins in the harbour entrance. There is ample car parking close to the Battery. The one drawback is the unsightly dustbins by the entrance, I realise they are needed but feel they could be placed in a better place. overall a good visit and I would go again.
