Lovely views, free parking. Can't walk for miles if you want or turn around for a shorter walk. Up high and views are beautiful of the surrounding countryside.

What a great little saunter with the family...and a visit to Richard Adams memorial tree the Author of the classic. Lovely views, and you can continue your walk on to 'Ladle hill'...Had to edit this post...I didn't think until I looked at the book again....but the beach tree memorial to Mr Adams on Watership down was planted on the spot of the rabbits warren 'the honeycombe and the beach hangar'...Very touching.

Parking is available off to the side of the road on White Hill. The views are amazing across the countryside. If youβre feeling energetic you can walk up to Richard Adamβs tree - the author of Watership Down.

The place that links to the bookβ¦ but itβs different. The top of Watership Down is a training race course! The walk up is pretty and the view spectacular but itβs strange to be surrounded by jumps and railings and close cut grass βgallopsβ. Iβd suggest other walks nearby will give you more experience of the typical downs country. Nuthanger particularly.

Really amazing views. Absolutely magical place to go early in the morning. Views in the summer would be amazing. Just been in March early morning after heavy rain and was easy going. Yes lots of area is private but this place should be on anybody's to do list. I wish it was a bit closer to my home as perfect place to go to clear the mind.

Watership Down/Kingsclere Downs (depends on what you call it). Beautiful area to go for a walk. The views on a clear day are amazing! You can walk for miles up here and the views are always incredible!

Nice to visit if youβre a fan of the book but much of the hill is private land with just a footpath over the top. Means if you were planning to sit on the hill and have a picnic admiring the views then think again, itβs mostly fenced off either side of the path.

Gorgeous walk route and absolutely stunning views, well kept grass lands and picturesque areas to stop and take in the view. However thereβs an ongoing crime uprise in the on-site parking areas, do not leave any valuables in your car!

Part of the Wayfarers Walk. Views restricted by private land. Note that the visit inspired by Richard Adams book of the same name. Disappointed on that regard. A Beech tree has been planted as a memorial: regrettably not a Hazel.
