Simply professional and welcoming from Graeme (i hope this is spelt correctly) helping me with my first firearm purchase. Even prior to having my license he spent the time to talk through some guidance on acquiring the license and what I should be doing. Very happy with my purchase and considering some mention of cost from other reviews I find Sloans to be priced well. Will be back!

Great assortment of shotguns and firearms, both new and secondhand, with options to suit every budget. The selection is impressive, and the quality of their secondhand stock is always excellent. They also carry a comprehensive range of cartridges, accessories, and everything else you need for a day in the field. If you are new or a seasoned veteran to field sports, Sloan's is definitely your first choice. The welcoming atmosphere and lack of pretension make it a pleasure to visit, and their local knowledge of shooting in Aberdeenshire is second to none. Can't recommend them highly enough – a proper family business that truly cares about their customers and the sporting community.

Came into the shop to see about some primers/blanks. Entered the shop with my normal workwear (construction industry) and as soon as I walked in I was approached by what I believe was the owner. Was made to feel like I was unwelcome and wasn’t very chatty. There was another gentleman came in better dressed than I was and he was itching to finish with me so he could go and serve the other customer he abruptly ended our conversation about what I was needing and left to deal with the other gentleman. All in all I ended up not buying anything and will just go online and buy what I need. I was trying to support a local business but I’ll definitely not be back to this very unpleasant shop!
