My daughter has been here for the last year and a half learning Piano with Marsialli and now Sid. Both teachers have been great and she really enjoys her lessons with Sid. Stewart the owner is very helpful and friendly. The location is great and a lovely facility. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn an instrument.

My 7yo son has been a student of Stuart’s since he was 5 years old. Leo’s an all rounder with an interest in all musical instruments. Leo initially started ukelele lessons and has since progressed to the keyboard and drums and even tried a bit of singing! We enjoy choosing a song to work on ahead of lessons and Stuart is always open to tailor the lessons to suit Leo’s interests whether it’s a classic, a football song or even in Spanish or French. As a teacher Stuart’s style is approachable and fun. What really stands out is how patient and calm he is even when Leo’s struggling to get the hang of a new rhythm. Thanks to his guidance Leo’s gained confidence in his ability and a much deeper appreciation for music. If you’re looking for a music teacher who is skilled, patient and genuinely cares about your progress, I highly recommend Stuart and Dee Street Music Tuition. Leo 7yo would like to end by saying ‘Amazing job I love it so much I like playing the drums and piano’.

I had drumming lessons with Michael for around six months and loved it. Michael is a very patient, supportive tutor and provides the encouragement needed for drumming. I started as a complete beginner and Michael was able to help me get to Grade 3 in a short space of time. Not only is Michael an excellent tutor but he’s also a very nice person to talk to. I would highly recommend anyone looking for drumming lessons to visit Michael and Dee Street Studios. Stuart, who runs Dee Street, is also a lovely guy and was happy to have me in the studio to practice regularly. All in all, the team at Dee Street are brilliant!

I have been a pupil of Stuart’s for around 7 years now and I can’t recommend him highly enough. His passion for music and improving me has always been very clear right from the start. With his unique approach to the guitar being simple and enjoyable, Stuart’s main focus wasn’t for me to complete all the exams and send me on my way once I’d finished them all, but it was for him to adapt his teaching towards my interests at the time. In my time playing the guitar I have done it all, from grades to chords/finger style and my personal favourite of improvisation and soloing. I’ve made huge amounts of progress in recent years solely down to Stuart’s knowledge of guitar soloing and the ideas which he shares with me on the guitar. His knowledge is like no one else’s and his ability to decipher songs and break them down with simple precision is second to none. If you’re looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable guitar teacher then look no further than Stuart.

I had guitar lessons with Stuart and really appreciated his way of teaching and patience (which was endless). I even ended up taking an exam which I had been against initially. Lessons were enjoyable too, and Stuart adapted some of my favourite pieces for me to be able to play which was a bonus!

Great little music school. My son has attended his piano lessons there for a few years now. He has changed a few tutors recently but with Marina as his tutor, now there is consistency and progress. She is happy to help and support him with his future National 5 exam in music too. Thank you.

My son has been having lessons with Stuart since he was 6 years old and now, 8 years later, he still looks forward to going to his lessons. Stuart tailors his lessons around the individual and teaches according to the student's interest as opposed to expecting the student to be interested in what he teaches. My son has learned to play many different genres of music from rock, pop, blues, jazz and funk but has also sat his grades, currently at grade 8. Stuart is also very adept at teaching the theory of music thus allowing the student to compose their own music. What more can I say other than I highly recommend you see Stuart for any guitar lessons!

Marina offers warm, encouraging and helpful tuition; my son is flourishing under her care and attention. He really enjoys his lessons; she makes learning the piano a pleasurable experience for him.

At first, I attended the School for a Drum Lesson. The lesson was great and very easy to get into, which, as a novice, was appreciate. The Drum Teacher was also great and I enjoyed his style. Since then, I have been partaking in theory lessons with Stuart and found them to be incredibly useful. All in all, a very versatile Music School and pleasant experience.
