DR Jinmi is my GP and who I see most of the time. She is an excellent Doctor who listens to my concerns and makes the right decisions for me, I also see the Nurses who take blood and other tests. I interact with the Receptionists and the Prescription Clarke who are always polite and helpful to me.. I have not had any problems at this surgery and I am happy to be a patient there. listens to my concerns and make the right decisions. I also see th e Nurses for blood tests and other tests and they are good aswe

I never normally leave bad reviews, but what happened yesterday was unacceptable and broke my trust completely. I came to the surgery with my 4-year-old child who had a 41°C fever. I tried to book online, but it didn’t work, and the phone line was not answering either — I was second in the queue for a long time and nobody picked up. When I arrived at the GP practice, there were only a few people waiting, yet the receptionist told me to go home and wait for a call from a doctor. My child was burning with fever, and I was holding him in my arms. A doctor finally called two hours later, and the appointment was at 3:45 pm.This is not the first time I’ve had a bad experience here — another time my younger son was given antibiotics for an ear infection, and it later turned out to be bronchiolitis. I didn’t want to make a complaint before, but refusing immediate care for a sick child with a 41°C fever is simply inhuman. I hope this review helps other parents understand what kind of “care” to expect here.

Today 22nd September 2025, i rang at 8:05 for a appointment for my 1 year old, I was first in line and the receptionist told me I had to fill a form out online.. i put the phone down and filled the online form out.. to then be told.. ring the surgery back!! It’s now 30 minutes later and i am no closer to getting an appointment for my daughter! This system is ridiculous, i normally have very positive things to say about this surgery but if this system carries on, they will have no patients left.

I recently contacted Houghton Regis Medical Centre to request a sick note. The staff member who answered my call initially gave me a clear date for when it would be ready. On the morning of that date, I was told again that the doctor would complete it that day. However, when I rang back in the afternoon, I was informed that it would not be available until Monday as the doctor had many other tasks. This change was quite frustrating and inconvenient. While I understand doctors are busy, clearer communication and consistency from staff would help avoid unnecessary stress for patients.

For the most part, my experience with the surgery has been positive under the circumstances of the NHS over the years. My Doctor, Dr. Vemuru, is excellent, willing to listen to my issues, provide advice, and overall takes the time to care. I feel for the reception staff as they have to deal with the bombardment of calls each morning and afternoon, which is poor system design to book appointments, most of them are nice and pleasant, but the odd one who is rude. Whilst it is annoying to hear that you're 30+ in the queue which highly likely means you're not getting an appointment, I won't be rude to the receptionists. Same with the Nurses who have conducted my blood tests. Most of them are excellent with gentle bedside manner, but the odd one who is rude and would blame the patient for supposedly "messing" up the procedure.

I have total admiration for the staff & especially Dr Alva for the care & help he has shown. Appointments are hard to book sometimes, but that is a Country wide problem. Thank you to all

Impossible to get an appointment. Their website says you can book online, all the information is out of date. Apparently you can’t. Staff is so rude I am lost for words.. not helpful at all. I waited in a queue for over half an hour (I was in a queue of over 30 ppl) only to be told they cannot book appointment. Call again..is what I hear every time I call them. What exactly am I paying for from my taxes? Because it’s definitely not for NHS healthcare.. I visited GP once in my life and hardly ever need their assistance but when I do I cannot even get an appointment!! Disgrace!

Very shody treatment in responding to emails from other health professionals regarding treatments and medication. Turn around time is ridiculous. Very short staffing all round. I would not recommend this practice, it's too over subscribed and can not cope.

For 4 weeks now it's not possible to book an appointment at that place. Calling at 8 a.m. 14th in a q and what I do hear as an answer " fully booked " same 12.30 17th in a q and what " fully booked " receptionist very rude showing no respect to peoples. Worst GP I have ever dealt with.

I am loss of words! The receptionist is very rude and when you try to explain she says you are abusive. I sensed racist undertone in her voice. I was stuck with a daughter with a temperature of 38.5-39 degrees who is 1year. All I wanted was to see a doctor. Please improve your service.
