   The park is an amazing place to visit. I have lived close by 16 years now and try to spend at least 30 minutes walking my rescue dog there each and every day. A few months ago I noticed a bird song that I had never heard before. I quickly put it down to House Martin's on the wing, due to a long streaming tail. A few months later on, I noticed that there was something very different about them and started to investigate... It turns out that the Ring-necked Parakeets from Alvaston Park have moved into Osmaston Park too. Now I know they are there, I have seen and heard them every single day since. It just adds to the beauty of Osmaston Park. The bike club that runs out of Osmaston Park is fantastic, it's so nice to see the children getting instruction and showing some awesome tricks. The sports facilities and play areas are well kept yet there are enough wildlife areas full of natural beauty. It's a slice of heaven in a busy city area.

   We walk a circuit nearly every evening with the dog, it's a very friendly place, has the sports and wild areas as well as a modern bike and skateboarding run. It's not a huge park but big enough for good dog and human exercise as well as being a sports hub and a children's playground.

   The park is real good for children and young people and family. Lots of play equipment and a skate and bicycle track and scooter riders for tricks. Wish their was a cafe for hot drinks and toilets.
