What an absolute disgrace of a company! Liars and fraudsters! I paid £99 to reserve a car. Booked an appointment to go and view and collect. An hour in to my journey to the Newcastle-under-Lyme showroom I received a phone call to say a salesman had sold it to someone else, even though I had paid the reserve and spoken to the salesman the day before (who called me) to confirm appointment and assure me that the vehicle was cleaned, prepped and good to go. I’ve phoned to complain, been told I’d get my £99 refunded (still not received) so they have stolen my money….. Reading so many other review experiences similar if not worse, convinces me this outfit of a company are fraudsters and con-artists. Your typical used car salesman crooks. Please, if you are thinking of buying a vehicle from these charlatans…DO NOT!! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs!

I was generally pleased with V12’s customer service (Newcastle under Lyme); they offered to collect me from the train station which was very kind, the sales executive (Syeed) was incredibly nice and the sales process was also quick and relatively stress free. The big plusses are of course the competitive prices as well as the free 5-day insurance, discounted breakdown cover and initial 3 month warranty. The points for development justifying the three stars instead of four/five are: - I didn’t like the somewhat scripted and I sense management directed additional extras sales tactics. I declared up front that I was a cash buyer and wasn’t interested in optional products. However I was belt fed sales pitches on warrantees, paint care products and car matt products. I get the reason behind this, but what was frustrating was that despite me clearly saying I wasn’t interested, these things were added (c.£1500) to the purchase invoice by the manager. I had to ask for them to be removed and this almost put me off buying the car. - Despite an AA approved inspection, the tyre pressure warning lights came on within 150 miles of me leaving the show room heading back to where I live, so I am having to take the car to a garage after 24 hrs! That said, V12 Sports have offered to pay to resolve the issue, which was positive. - If you phone V12 you can be waiting 4-5 mins before someone answers the phone. That said, the lady I dealt with was helpful. In sum, the V12 Sports and Classics name is slightly misleading; my perception was that this is a high volume/low margins company who rely on shifting a lot of cars at impressively low prices, but as long as you go into the purchase expecting this you won’t be surprised nor disappointed. Would I go back, I think this will depend on how reliable the car turns out to be. I will update this review once I have spoken to the after sales team about the tyre issues and if any other fault occur. I hope not noting the car is only 2 years old with less than 20k on the clock.

Appalling after sales service! I bought a vehicle in May and immediately spotted an issue. Sent by them to one of their recommended garages who diagnosed even more issues. VERY slowly a couple of these things have been rectified but over six months later, one of the issues remains unresolved and now I am getting no response from them. Interestingly, shortly after I bought the car, a review appeared on Trust Pilot from someone with my first name, living in the same part of town as me, and having dealt with the same salesman. I can assure you that I did NOT post that review. I assume their tactic is to make things so difficult that customers eventually give up. Well done V12 - you win! I no longer want anything to do with you. You now have a customer who will NEVER return and will NEVER recommend you to anyone else!

The company will not accept vehicles back for refund if purchased outright for cash. Be warned sold as seen vehicles. Only credit transactions are protected with the 14 day return to base promise. The vehicle received no basic service prior to sale, the last being in 2020. However V12 state it's not necessary. The vehicle I purchased is subject to a safety recall which the company failed to disclose. The vehicle has been inspected by the AA however multiple faults exist on the vehicle both within gearbox and rear suspension. The AA are reviewing the quality of the inspection. The company appear uninterested in anything more than getting you to purchase whilst pushing extended warranty,which in my experience should be of benefit.
