   I love this shop. It’s the only place I can buy Doctor Who merch specifically my limited edition david tennant funko pops and Doctor Who figurines and graphic novels and sonic screw drivers and Tardis safe! Also the best place to buy sylvanian families blind bags. The staff are very friendly and helpful always look forward to going in! Would come here over entertainer, forbidden planet and critical hit any day.

   Right, do i think some items in this shop can be overpriced? yes. do i shop in the entertainer instead? yes. However this shop has the best selection of quirky and hard to find items that are perfect for my family and friends. People need to remember that this shop is a small business and Derbys is one of 2. ONE OF TWO PEOPLE. The fact people come on here and complain as if it’s a big chain like Smyths is beyond me and down right silly. There’s other shops within the town such as The Entertainer and Forbidden Planet and even Critical Hitt that you can shop at so why even bother complaining about pokemon card prices. You wouldn’t go into any other small business and complain but you sure as hell do for this one. I don’t understand why when there are other choices but that’s my opinion. The staff are lovely and super helpful. I may say some of the friendliest staff (the entertainer staff are friendlier and more polite in some ways) and are super helpful. If you don’t like the prices shop else where instead of bashing a small shop.

   Very pleasant store, great stock of horror figures, lego and pokémon cards - as a pokémon fan I understand the shortage and whilst the increased price can be a pain, it's a sacrifice needed to make for the stock. Staff are very friendly, always willing to help and consistently very knowledgeable on their stock. Definitely look forward to my next visit!

   Do no recommend buying individual Trading card packs from here (e.g. pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh). The owner clearly measures the weight of the individual packs. I have almost never packed a foil card here.. and I have purchased a lot of packs!! I have spoken to many collectors who used to buy from here but new refuse to becuase of the same reasons. The manager seems to brag about his amazing pulls and yet his customers don't get the same luck. I recommend shopping online or elsewhere for trading card sets. As they won't be weighed and will be reasonably priced as they never discount any card sets/boxes.

   3rd visit to date. 1st visit - we were followed around the store, all eyes were on us. Felt really uncomfortable. I made my purchase and left quickly. 2nd visit - due to the limited space available to move, it was hard to access anything on the shelves. Staff unhelpful and just shrugged when asking for assistance. 3rd visit - today I was hunting for hot wheels, as a collector. I enquired whether we were able to buy in bulk. The shop assistant was friendly and keen to help (the first and only credit to the store.) A manager (I assume. Burgundy shirt, bit full of himself) approaches me to tell me that he opens all the boxes to look for anything valuable... "although it doesn't happen often, you get some high priced ones and I sell them on Ebay." It's not great to know that enployees are willingly and readily ripping off their customers. To the girl who greeted us... thank you for your help.
