Budget wise and quantity wise it's really great but the only downside is they accept cash only, but still worth it
Having initially left a 5 star review, I’ve had to delete that and leave this updated one. For over the last year, I’ve enjoyed food from here with no issues. It was cheap, tasty and just great. Every now and then I like to have a beef dish but I can’t stand peppers so I ask for my beef dish without veg (onions are okay though). The last 3/4 times it’s been absolutely no problem when ordering this. However my visit tonight completely ruined my satisfaction of the place. I was initially told no to my custom order, as they decided it was something they don’t like doing and “doesn’t taste nice”. How can they know what I find tasteful or not? If they don’t like doing it, how have I been able to order the same dish for the last year? Anyway, after explaining that I’ve had the order previously with no issues, they begrudgingly relented and allowed me to place my order. This has left a sour taste in my mouth as I feel they don’t care for what their customers like/don’t like and don’t appreciate the fact I don’t like peppers. Yes I could take them out but it’s still the hassle of doing so and also the taste of peppers in my food.
Used to enjoy a Kam too but tonight I bit into a huge chunk of bone from a sausage, enough so it made my mouth bleed! Dinner was off the cards at that point. Avoid this place if possible it’s dangerous
Been using this takeaway for 25 plus years however in the last few months the food has gone downhill. We had a Chinese curry tonight and it was really hot and spicy with an unpleasant aftertaste. Chips were dry and rubbery. The fried rice was nice. Quite disappointed but have come to the conclusion that I'd rather spend more money elsewhere for a nicer meal.
The rumours are true! Massive, tasty portions at the cheapest prices inhave seen in years!!! My beef in black bean sauce with egg foo young and chips was excellent, hot, fresh and tasty, no skimping on quality. My beef in black bean sauce contained huge pieces of tender sliced beef My egg foo young packed with chicken, pork, peas and onion ( and chips included in same box ). Will definitely be ordering again very very soon, looking forward to ordering curry dishes next, fried rice, chow mein, soo much to order!!!
