We didn't have any food in here just drinks, but the atmosphere was good and the bar staff were fun. We did attend karaoke one night. It was very quiet in there unfortunately so it was only two groups singing so it ended early. We still had a good time though.
We came here as we was camping locally and it looked like a lovely place inside. Well yes the inside was lovey but that’s about it. The food came out freezing cold after waiting an hour! Do not go here, the food that came out cold was burnt too, so no idea how that happened. Majority of the staff was miserable, the place just seemed so depressing. The manager luckily enough was lovely, he refunded us for the whole meal which is good or else I would have kicked off. I have actually seen a review say this about the food and I ignored, I wished I hadn’t. It ruined our whole evening and our poor son and us was starving to deal having waiting so long then to leave eating nothing! Really bad awful service. Wouldn’t go here again, also all the people there just stared at us constantly I feel cos we were outsiders and not from the “caravan park” we felt very out of place.
We booked a table for 8 people at 6.30pm tonight as we are staying on park. Our table included two young children and a baby. Sadly, the food took two hours to arrive and, when it finally did, it was barely warm. This put quite a dampener on the evening. The one saving grace was our waiter, Adam, who was absolutely brilliant. He was clearly under a lot of pressure but still did everything he could to make sure we were looked after. He was friendly, attentive, and great with the kids. He also took my dairy allergy very seriously and although the rest of the food experience was negative, I felt very safe eating the food with his reassurance.
The food was typical quickly thrown together food. The staff were excellent, friendly and smart. The toilets were very big and spacious, plenty of room For a wheelchair. The decor was fantastic looked really nice. Shane it was so expensive.
The interior of The Missing Squirrel is beautiful and the atmosphere was great. We walked through it when we checked in and knew we wanted to get a cocktail there at some point during the stay. One evening, we got 2 cocktails, a selection of starters, and a chicken, chorizo and pepper panini. We realised we ordered very beige starters, as all of them were battered and fried, but all were very tasty. The dips that were served really took them up a notch too. The cocktails were also very tasty and moreish. The disappointment was the panini. It had a very strong aftertaste which put us off. It tasted like defrosted chicken. We tried picking the chicken off and eating it without it but you still had a strong smell/ aftertaste. Considering the decent prices you pay, this was very disappointing.
Friendly welcome, staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The steak was amazing and it's well worth try a cocktail or two
Quite a limited menu but the food was really good and the service was fantastic
It is a very stylish looking bar but it was not open when we arrived so can't comment on service etc yet. Might visit again today
