was refused a loan by the loan officer as they couldn't calculate my income and outgoings properly. since looking at their reviews on google they gave a loan to gambling addicts and they had problems repaying the loan back i would of not had any problems repaying the loan back as my hours are going to be going up soon. and the lousy customer service of them responding to your messages is just be pure bad. they took just under a week to decline my loan application. will be closing my account as read the other reviews on google and believe the customers as they stated on their website it would only take 2 days to process a loan but took nearly a week with mine i would not recommend them to anyone. AVOID THEM!!

I have had only good experience with this organization. I like that I can access my account without middle man. A well streamedline service.

Absolutely rubbish company no communication don’t even tell you of you haven’t been excepted for a loan say it takes a few days well it’s been a few weeks so I’m assuming I wasn’t excepted would be nice to know though considering you’ve set up a direct debit for a loan I haven’t got

I don't have a problem being rejected for a loan, but when you inform them they've made a mistake in their calculations, they just talk over you the entire time, before repeating the exact same mistake. I pointed out that they have counted savings as monthly debt repayments and therefore considered the debt to be £250p/m too high. Apparently it doesn't make a difference, and if you have a payment on your bank statement it counts as debt. Utterly bizarre and very disappointed to have just been talked over when trying to explain this.

Commsave? the financial equivalent of trying to get a passport by sending a letter in a bottle. If you’re after a quick, hassle-free loan, look elsewhere. But if you enjoy a good old-fashioned wild goose chase, then by all means this is the place for you. I applied for a small £1,500 loan, planning to pay it back in full by the end of April. Should’ve been simple, right? Nope. First, they asked for my previous address despite me living at my current one for over 14 years. Not sure why my life before 2010 was suddenly relevant, but fine. Then, they wanted a three-month bank statement, which was fair enough. But just when I thought we were done, they threw in more hoops to jump through more statements, more checks, and, best of all, daily transaction logs via text message showing every single time I used my bank card in the last three months. At this point, I had to wonder was I applying for a loan or under financial surveillance? Were they expecting me to hand over CCTV footage of myself at the cashpoint next? Honestly, it was starting to feel like an undercover sting operation. And the customer service? Let’s just say the left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. One person says one thing, another tells you something completely different. It’s like they’re making it up as they go along. So yeah, I took my business elsewhere. Went to another lender, got my loan approved in 24 hours, lower APR, no nonsense, no interrogation. Meanwhile, Commsave will still be tangled up in their own paperwork. What a bunch of cowboys. Not even the talented kind who ride horses.

I'm astonished by some of some of the reviews albeit 2 - 3 years ago and i respect their views and all good. In all honesty as a member for 10 years or more, from my experience commsave has always been transparent and when I request a withdrawal it happens instantly now in my bank account. maybe years ago there was a problem but today they are the number 1 as a credit union. Kind regards James

Company is an utter joke. You have member of staff who is as far as I'm convinced a robot. Generic copy and paste replies. Despite asking specific things. Have to follow up with a other email or 2 to finally get an update. As far as the loans process goes, it's not quick. And the goal posts change for sure. So first it's an emergency as vehicle broke down and I need to work. Yea it's been 5 days. 4 of those days has been documents rejected. Despite using the same format and same process as I previously have done before. They ask for something, I provided it. Nope. Rejected. Today they were rejected (at 9am) but didnt even tell me! Could have sorted it by the afternoon but no it took numerous attempts to actually speak to someone and get info. Frustration here is unreal!

Happy to promote the services of Stepchange charity on their website but when it comes to working with them to arrange a debt management plan, they are not interested . Happy to continue taking money out of your wages with no consideration if fallen into financial hardship. Company is run on greed and cares little for its long serving members .

DO NOT USE. This is the worse company ever. Harvest Money was so much better. Ever since they have transferred over, it’s been problem after problem. Today, for the second time I have realised that money I have sent over to be put against my loan has gone missing, despite there being dates and times etc apparently staff at Commsave can go back in time and transfer money three days before I’ve even sent the money and allocate it against my loan. Bunch of plonkers. Definitely taking this further as this is not the first time for me and this also happened to my friend - then this was brought to their attention, £££ appeared out of nowhere. Funny that. Absolutely avoid at all costs!

Commsave contacted me out of the blue to tell me I had an outstanding balance of £122 on a loan taken out with another credit union 10 years ago that I believed to have been paid off in 2011. As I didn't have records going back that far and was unable to prove that I had already paid it I have had to pay again to prevent further harassment. No-one has contacted me for over 8 years in relation to this but they had apparently looked at my online profiles and established where I worked. The strange thing is they have also had my phone number but no-one has called me until now. I've paid the balance only to avoid them causing me further stress but I would strongly suggest avoiding them.
