I was so disappointed with the food I purchased this evening, I’ve ordered vegetarian mixed chow main, it was inedible, slimy and tasteless veggies, very salty noodles. I’ve had quite many Chinese take aways but never had anything like it, I couldn’t force myself to eat it.

Very pleasant, quick and tasty. Parking difficult as on road parking - had to walk quite a way from a parking space.

Best Chinese in Portsmouth the sauces are so nice everything we had was so nice and hot too, we had lots of dishes but our personal favourite was salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper chips, and the chicken balls are so crispy and fluffy and chow mein very good too we always get our Chinese here

Best Chinese in portsmouth. Food is always piping hot, full of flavour, large portions. Tried many places, wouldnt order from anywhere else now!

First time after recommendations from friends and I can without doubt say that this is the best Chinese in Portsmouth. Anyone scrolling through, not knowing whether you can trust peoples opinions, you can trust me and this is the one. We even turned up 20 minutes late to pick it up and it was unreal. Best by a country mile. Thank me later.

Now this establishment is called "New China" and yet I fear we have regressed backwards to the olden days of the dodgy Chinese takeaway. Reading reviews I had high hopes, however they simply where not met, with the lemon chicken truly falling short with a bone dry texture and Lemsip esk tasting sauce to accompany it. Couple this with lacklustre seaweed and a group order spend close to £90 yet no prawn crackers added in good favour, me and my pals were left with a bad taste in our mouths (and that wasn't just from the lemon sauce).

First time trying this take away and unfortunately the last. Really disappointing! They say orders over £15 have free delivery, but when you go to the check out, you get charged £1.50 for a delivery & service charge, even after spending almost £30. The food wasn't great too, chicken dishes were all really dry and overcooked. But I feel the biggest rip off was the 'Deep Fried Crab Claws' which, like anyone, you would imagine crab claws, deep fried, right? Wrong, they were this unpleasant doughy mush, with barely a trace of crab meat to be seen, accept for a hard, sharp piece of a crab claw bone pushed inside, as you can very much see from the pictures. I think this was the first time ever! That I've actually ended up throwing almost a whole take away, away for being so unpleasant. Really feel quite ripped off!

Ordered here for the first time yesterday and it was the nicest Chinese my partner and I have ever had. We collected but food still piping hot by the time my partner got home, everything was well packaged and the food was so flavoursome. The chicken satay skewers especially were delicious and the chicken in black bean sauce. We have found our new Chinese takeaway for sure! Thank you :)
