I ordered two sausage chips Gravy and peas it's not nice at all The sausage is cheap and gritty The chips where dry and hard 7.50 for that never again
Every Thursday after work myself and my partner order from here. We have the same order every time. The lady on the phone has memorised our order and is extremely good and efficient at getting the order through. The food comes quickly (once it was here in less than 10 minutes!!) and always arrives hot. The delivery driver is always very polite and never "accidentally" doesn't have enough change like some other places in Hull. The food is the best I've ever had from a Chinese Takeaway. I could not recommend it enough. TLDR; the woman on the phone is lovely, as are all the staff I've come across, and the food is absolutely amazing. best in hull for definite

My recent visit to ( Great Wall Takeaway) was quite disappointing. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the interior was in desperate need of a facelift, which should have been my cue to reconsider. However, I proceeded to order, recalling past enjoyable experiences with their food. While waiting, I observed the hygiene standards and could only rate them a 2 out of 5, which is concerning. Once home, I hoped the food would redeem the experience, but unfortunately, it did not. My order came with fried rice, which I cannot eat, and the chicken was unpalatable, making the entire meal a waste of money. I did reach out to the takeaway, and they offered to check the food. However, the food had already been discarded, so this was not possible. While their willingness to address the issue was appreciated, it did little to salvage the experience. Overall, I am disappointed and will not be returning. I sincerely hope improvements are made, as a rating of 2 is quite low. There is certainly potential to do better.
Used to be one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area but now due to greed and bad service they should be last on anyone's list for good food

I chose this restaurant, as my regular one was closed. Always a little unsure when getting food from somewhere new, as we always have a complex and varied order, and taste can vary in my house. I am extremely glad, that we ordered from great wall, after looking on Google for highly rated places, honestly it wasn't the highest rated, but I think those that had a negative experience should try again. The food was excellent, well prepared, very good portion sizes and accurate. The service was with a smile and welcoming. The price was slightly higher than we are accustomed to, but don't mind paying more for a quality product and it was very good. I highly recommend trying great wall, should have taken pictures of the food but it was very good. P.s. they do take card payments.
Placed an order because i was feeling far too ill to cook, waited over an hour for delivery only for them to cancel it. Apparently they tried to call me but they clearly never did as i never got a call and sat with my phone the entire time.
Placed an order, and the prawn crackers I'd ordered were missing when it arrived. So rang the takeaway, and they told me they'd deliver them. But would take an hour. The prawn crackers didn't arrive. As a loyal customer, that orders regularly from this takeaway, I feel unappreciated. And won't be ordering from here in the future.
We love food from here, but receiving a Christmas card and decoration absolutely made my night last night - thank you so much!
