   Ordered beef chow mein duck curry golden honey chicken and chips egg fried rice and pot of gravy. Beef chow mein full of veg and plenty of beef however beef was quite chewy. Plenty of duck in the curry. Chicken was crispy and very nice. Overall was a nice Chinese just abit salty. Ordered delivery and did have to call as took nearly around 1 hour 50 minutes to come but it was Saturday night.

   I have been to Hartoft Chinese a few times now and every time the food is amazing and is prepared really quickly! We always love the egg fried rice, along with the Cantonese chicken, satay prawn dish and the chow mien- they’re all so flavourful. My family owns a Chinese takeaway in the south of England so I’ve grown up with both traditional and takeaway Chinese food and I can say that Hartoft is my favourite and go-to Chinese takeaway in Hull! The staff are also really nice so I’d recommend to anyone in the area.

   Beef in black bean sauce wasn't very tasty and the sauce was very thin and watery. Prawn crackers were nice and my child enjoyed the chicken nuggets meal. Curry sauce wasn't great, neither were the noodles. Egg fried rice was ok. Disappointing meal for just short of £40.

   Booked a Saturday evening delivery and was quoted 50 minutes. Over 90 minutes later we received a cold congealed curry and a chow mein that once reheated lost a good deal of its appeal. The chips were hot so my assumption is that the main meals sat for a while cooling while the order was filled. I won’t be using this delivery service again.

   I had a takeaway tonight ordered beef with spring onions and ginger, To me it looks like its been half eaten,about 5 pieces of meat a bit of onion and no sauce

   Used this place for months and always spot on, got a delivery recently and there was things missing and one of the dishes was cold. I called and i could hear someone in the background calling me a liar. They said they would be round with the missing items and if i boxed up the cold dish they would give me a refund i asked for a replacement to which they refused. So i boxed it up and got a refund only for the main not the side which i had already plated up. Will not be using this place anymore such a shame as it had been our go to place for so long. I suggest the staff go on a customer service course!!

   Ordered a Chinese from here Sunday night. Monday afternoon I start repulsively sweating and been sick. I’ve got diarrhoea and have a fever. The store is closed so I’m not able to ring and let them know. Just be cautious ordering from here I don’t think it’s very hygienic
