A part of my heart automatically craves for Butter Chicken every time I step into an Indian restaurant and Sitar absolutely delivered. Rich flavour, comfortable atmosphere, and service so friendly it’s impossible not to smile. A full 10/10 experience! (PS: I was too busy in enjoying the food that literally forgot to click the picture)
Amazing food and great atmosphere! Had dinner at Sitar last night and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in Dundalk. The staff were really friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food came out hot and full of flavour — we tried the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and vegetable pakora, and everything was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself has a lovely warm atmosphere — perfect for a quiet dinner or a small group. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion size. You can tell the chefs really care about what they’re serving. Overall, a fantastic experience — highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Indian food. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Was a great adventure down to Dundalk as we didn’t know where to go and based on reviews this was worth checking out, and I can say, it was definitely worth checking out. Perfect service to portion sizes and flavour.
I remember ordering from this restaurant years ago and it was gorgeous food with great portions. That was years ago. I ordered two dishes last night, for delivery, a Jalfrezi and a Saag. There was barely 4 to 5 bits of small chicken in both. There was no vegetables ie peppers/onions in Jalfrezi. The sauce was lovely and authentic to be honest, really authentic and flavoursome, but they were in the (new) smaller trays, 2 thirds the size of the normal trays, and there was not much chicken breast in each dish. If they cant furnish you with a single chicken breast and vegetables for €15 then Ill ponder on my next order
Fabulous little restaurant in the centre of Dundalk. Everything was amazing,The food was stunning and the service was great. It was our first time here and it definitely won't be the last. 10/10.
Just got take away half an hour ago and have to say that was the best Indian cuisine in my life!! Very tasty! You just feel it's freshly cooked. Very friendly staff too! Truly recommended! Thank You!
Absolutely beautiful food in a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. Excellent service, with spot on advice from the girls working there. Sorry, I didn't catch her name, but appreciated her input while ordering. Looking forward to my next visit already (home about an hour)!
Absolutely amazing authentic Indian food! Great service when sitting in or ordering take-out! Ignore the other fake bad reviews, they are from another local business in town. I’ll keep supporting Sitar because of the food and their generosity for local people at Christmas, as the restaurant offer free food to those in need. What a blessing to have an amazing business as Sitar!
This is by far the best Indian Restaurant. They are missed so much from Carlingford. The staff are the most friendly family you will ever meet, the food is just amazing, the meat just melts in your mouth, everything is cooked fresh, great size portions, high quality ingredients, a superb menu with so much choice. They do so much for the local community including free Christmas Meals for anyone in need. They truly are the best!
Food was very tasty, service was good and we had a nice seat by a window. Staff are pleasant and helpful and it is not expensive. Worth a visit.
