   Went down to Stoke Rd this morning, the staff were very helpful l picked out a washing machine and asked about delivery. The washing machine was delivered, installed and old machine taken away by 4pm. What a great service. 5 stars well deserved

   A week ago we went in the Stoke Road store, where the Staff Member was helpful, polite, answered our questions. We placed an order, arrangements were made for fitting the new hob/oven, the items are paid for. The delivery day arrived, the oven came in already unboxed. Looked very much like the one from the showroom, that the Salesman ensured us wouldn't be the case, when we ordered... The give away was the cable that had a very distinct mark on it... On inspection a dent low on the back, suspiciously the size & shape of toe protection on a working boot that both the fitters were wearing. The top of the oven had been pushed down (another dent) at the front by 10 to 15mm & a screw was missing. One of the fitter said the toe shaped dent wouldn't affect its working & the top dent he suggested was due to flamsy metal & would have probably arrived like it... They did unbox the hob in our house, but that had small scratch's around each of the heating plates, these were made in the manufacturing process... When the fitters repacked the hob, No care or attention to how the package was used. The jigsaw they were going to use to trim the worktop, had the live pin on the plug missing & didn't work. The fitter used the secondhand 13amp plug that was going to be use on the new oven was then use to fix their jigsaw. How do we know the plug was pre-used, due to the fact the lead had been cut off with 50mm sticking out from the clamp. We refused the items. The day after rejecting the goods we went to South Coast Appliances, how different this Salesman was. He did say that items from the showroom were sold to customers as matter of course. The only reason South Coast Appliances received 3 Star review is due to the Sale Assistant talking us out of spending our money there, with a 'Who Cares' Attitude. Suggesting there will be another 'mug' sorry another customer along in a minute!
