Good food, good portions, fair prices and great music. Staff was amazing. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience.
Had a table booked for ten people but when we arrived, our table had been given to other people and their order had been taken. The best they could offer was a table for four people. Ended up having to scramble to go somewhere else which, on a match day, is not easy for a group of ten people.
I had been here before the cafe changed names and had a lovely experience. Unfortunately no smile or acknowledgement when we entered and still no hello or smile when ordering our food. Food is great value but my order was incorrect as I got a toastie rather than a sandwich. Maybe we went on an off day but I won't be going back.
They put on a beautiful buffet for my mums 80th birthday. It was perfect and we had the place to ourselves for the duration. Thanks for being so accommodating with wheelchair access. Staff really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Again thank you.
I took 8 friends for brunch after my birthday the night before. Askews was brilliant. So friendly. Food was lovely. I had a big breakfast with "breakfast chips". Fabulous. They serve a wide variety of breakfast, brunch, lunch items, all really tasty. Great coffee. Highly recommended.
Had a delivery breakfast. No complaints at all. Delivered quick, food was hot and lots of it. My only (very small ) gripe would be to add an option for no tomatoes. I’m not a fan of them, but as I said very small gripe and personal to me… but doesn’t distract from what we’re two very good meals. We have found a new place to eat.
I placed an order via Just Eat and was given an estimated delivery time of 1.5 hours which I wasn’t happy with so I decided to cancel the order. A member of staff then called me and explained that my order would’ve been delivered much sooner than the expected time and that I should place the order again, which of course I did after his reassurance. My order was then delivered even later than 1.5 hours and was cold with items missing from my breakfast. I understand that they may have been busy but for a member of staff to call me to tell me that I should place an order again after I cancelled it and reassure me it would be delivered much sooner than 1.5 hours for it to then be delivered even later is not acceptable.
Really enjoyed our visit yesterday, food was great - do not be put of by the limited menu on website as they have a much larger variety on their boards inside. The team were really friendly, informative and welcoming. They also didn't mind us staying to chat for a while after eating. Really great cafe, reasonable prices, highly recommend!
Popped in for breakfast nice and early. There is a wait as everything is cooked fresh but I prefer that instead of things being precooked and shoved in the oven/ microwave to keep warm. The lady was very friendly and clearly built a wonderful relationship with regulars but was just as welcoming to us newcomers. I thoroughly recommend the English breakfasts!
Great food lovely staff and I love the Milkshakes!! Roast dinners on Sundays and smaller meals I've had have all been really good!
