We came here on 23/11/25 and paid £35 for two full English breakfasts and two drinks, which I think is expensive but I’m happy to pay for high quality ingredients and great food. However, in a marked and significant decline from the last time I visited when it was called The Orangery, the food was absolutely terrible. The sausages are supposed to be from the butchers downstairs but they are so grissly and full of fat that leaks out and submerges the rest of the food making it soggy. Altogether a very disappointing experience and we won’t be coming back.

A Truly Disappointing Visit to The Orangery at Garsons My recent visit to The Orangery at Garsons for a coffee and cake break while shopping was unfortunately a complete letdown. My wife and I were hoping for a pleasant refreshment, but what we received was far from it. The coffee was incredibly weak. My cappuccino was virtually tasteless, and my wife's latte was no better – it literally looked and tasted like warm milk. When I politely complained, the staff informed me they only use a single shot and that an extra shot would cost an additional £1. They did reluctantly provide us with a second order, but honestly, the coffee quality was so poor we still struggled to taste any actual coffee. To add to the disappointment, we were advised that for cake, we could only choose from the slices that were already cut, as the whole cakes were still defrosting. The idea of paying for previously frozen cake was unappealing, so we decided to skip it entirely. This experience genuinely made us question the overall quality offered at The Orangery. It's a shame, as Garsons is a well-known establishment, but The Orangery is doing them a disservice and frankly, ruining their reputation. On a brighter note, we've discovered a fantastic alternative: Alver Valley Garden Centre in Gosport. Their coffee is excellent, and they even have live music on Friday afternoons. We'll definitely be taking our business there in the future.

Situated in Garsons Garden Centre this spacious coffee shop serves delicious breakfasts and brunches plus much more including a good variety of cakes. Order and pay at the counter, take a seat, and food arrives 10 minutes later. Afterwards take time to look round the garden centre and homeware section and farm food shop. A good place to spend a relaxing couple of hours.

We've come here a handful of times, and it has never disappointed us. The majority of times, the staff are really friendly, but other times, they seem stressed due to the volume of customers. I recommend the fruit pancakes. The raspberry ice cream that comes with it is delicious. On our last visit, as we were sitting having our lunch, when a robin came by and stood next to our table. This isn't the first time a bird has flown in and patiently watched customers.

I regularly come here for brunch, and the food is always spot on. They have always been very accommodating of my dietary requests, and the cake portions are generous. Staff overall are very friendly. As others have highlighted, it can be incredibly noisy even when just a few tables are dining, yet when it’s quiet there’s no music playing so atmosphere is a bit lacking. Overall a good spot for breakfast or lunch if in the area or in need of garden centre wares.

Honestly doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating. My husband had a full English breakfast which he wasn't happy with - the hash browns were not cooked but the rest was overdone and cold. My eggs Benedict generally put me off eating the rest. The hollandaise just tasted like mayonnaise so it wasn't fresh by any means and the egg was so snotty I felt sick. Don't recommend. Overpriced for rubbish food.

We had a very pleasant lunch here with some exceptionally well made coffee alongside. The cakes looked good, but we were stuffed from the large portions! It is not cheap, but it felt appropriately priced. We will definitely come back.

Came down for a bacon roll. Which infact the do not sell told they would do us a bacon sandwich. Which apon arrive was cold hard bacon .and when I asked for a napkin the lady told me they come with the food and did not need ro ask for one. I had spilt my drink and needed one and the lady was rude as hell. Bad serive only good thing is a coffee xxx and expensive one lady who brought food to table was nice

Went with a friend today. She wanted an item not on the menu and they produced it beautifully. My jacket potato was OK but not as hot as I'd have liked. Reason I'm not going 5 star is around price. £3.50 for a cappuccino. 50p more than I usually pay.

Went to the garsons garden center for a browse around their extensive range off Christmas decorations and stopped at the orangery for a spot of brunch, it was busy so 20 mins wait for hot drinks and 30 mins for food which I thought was reasonable for a busy Sunday morning. I ordered a farmhouse breakfast, which was all perfectly cooked so no complaints for the wait at all.
