First time visiting the Southwick tea room. Excellent range of cakes and drinks. The carrot cake was excellent! The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit.

Recommended by a colleague and was not sure what my family and I were about to encounter. On arrival we were greeted warmly and was told to sit where we liked. As it was a nice day, we chose to sit outside in a reasonably sized garden area which was pleasing to the eye. The menu had a limited selection of meals but a wide variety of options for that meal, with pricing. Prices may seem high but food is excellent quality with taste to match. There was also a long list of cakes but no pricing or pictures of them. We made our food and drink choices and waited. Drinks arrived quickly, food arrived 10 minutes or so later. When it arrived I thought "wow, that looks good". Portion sizes were quite generous and very tasty. One thing that could have been slightly better was if staff checked if our food was ok when eating and asking if there was anything else we needed. It was semi busy and hard to catch someone attention for more drinks while still having our food. We had a very pleasant experience. My wife and I said that if we were in the area again, we would definitely return. In summary, great food, friendly staff.

This really was a happy coincidence that we chose to visit this place. We were actually headed somewhere else. But we were happily surprised. They offer a good amount of choices. The cakes looked amazing, but we saw them too late :') The portion sizes are great, the food was good and the staff was friendly too. We definitely recommend.

Visited on a busy Saturday but were quickly shown to a table outside. Service was very good, so fast I barely had time to get comfortable before the drinks arrived at the table. Food took a little longer but was definitely worth waiting for. Afternoon tea included a good selection of generously filled sandwiches, and a choice of cakes and scones. All very nice and left me feeling quite full at the end of it. Certainly get your money's worth here. Wasps were a bit of a nuisance, but you can't hold the tea room accountable for nature I guess. Anyway a couple of open jam jars served very nicely as a decoy for them. Definitely worth a couple of hours of your time to pay a visit and enjoy some refreshment in a lovely outside setting.

Visited this absolute gem of a coffee shop for the first time the other day. We turned up a little early and the staff let us sit inside until 10am. Ordered decaf tea for two and 2 doorstop sarnies which where so yummy. Read really fresh and lots of filling! They even filled up the teapot with hot water for us! Staff where super sweet and friendly and the place was very clean and inviting. Attached to a super quaint post office too. Parking on the road outside and the surround village with gorgeous too. Will definitely come back! Esp in the summer as would love to sit in the garden.

A nice quiet place to have a cake and drink. Nice spacious garden to sit in and some indoor seating available too. To access the toilets here you have to go though the front of the post office. Nice friendly service.

Entrance is to the right of the Post Office, where you wait to be seated. Great tea room, great service with all tables having table service (pay at till after dining). The menu choices for vegetarians is very limited and no vegan food that I could see. If the owner reads these reviews then I'd suggest some further vegetarian or vegan options. Falafel with mango chutney sandwiches for example, there's lots of ideas out there.

Brilliant! The Bacon, Brie & Cranberry sandwich was amazing. My mum really enjoyed the afternoon tea - the scone was served warm and was so light and fluffy. All the staff were really friendly and accommodating, not an issue having things to takeaway either. Thank you!
