The food was hot, plentiful and tasty. The service was good both from our server Ewan and the bar staff. Pub was not too busy so the atmosphere was not strong, but it was great to chat and enjoy our food and drink. Well done to your team.

Terrible Christmas dinner! We are a group of 14. Food is terrible! Roast potatoes are rock hard. Carrot is RAW!! Waitress did not look like she cared! I approached the bar to buy a drink. No other customer waiting. A staff was busy cleaning the mulled wine pot. The other busy managing bottles/glasses. After around 5 min standing there, a male customer arrived at the bar. The pot cleaning lady told bottle stacking lady to serve us. Reluctantly she came over and served the male customer instead of me who was waiting before him! After pouring him a drink, to my surprise, she returned to bottles and glasses management, and then left the bar. At this point both staff were absent from the bar. Me? Still standing there. I waited another 10min or so, my group of ladies arrived. And we waited. And waited at the bar. Eventually one of us asked if anyone is serving. Same woman returned to the counter and ask, who first!!! I can't help but think if you are not white and not male, she would probably ignore you! At least that was how it came across to me. Discrimination is real! I understand that the evening was stressful with staff shortage. But, don't take it out on your customers by serving them terrible food. And don't pick on someone who happened to look a little different like me. Without customers, you would not have a job! Think beyond your nose!

We had a lovely meal. The service was a little slow so in the end we found a table and ordered via the app. The food was nice and hot when served. Free parking and good access. Plus dogs are welcome which we love.

We popped in for lunch and the pub was not busy. We were given a table by the window and went to the bar to order. The Hunter's chicken was well presented and served with a choice of fries or chunky chips and was delivered within minutes. The barmaid was very pleasant and friendly and the drinks and food prices reasonable.

(Delivered Food) Food Ordered; 2 Steak pie and mash, Mac and cheese, panko battered Prawns. The the pie dishes were stacked on top of each other with no barrier e.g lid, foil etc between the two. This meant the bottom pie was squished and the top had stuff all over the bottom. (I think this might have something that didn't help the temp) Veg was stone cold, mash was hot and cold pie was okay temp. It was very all over the place. I paid £6.49 for 5 Prawns that is 1.29 per prawn, on top of that they were dry and 2 were cold. I do understand that because it was delivered the Food won't be off the pass temp but it wasn't like that, it was all over the place with some items just cold. I recommend having Lids for the bigger containers!

Lovely pub with open fire, comfortable seating and car park. Friendly welcoming staff. A variety of delicious food that can be ordered at the bar or on an App.

Good atmosphere. And the food was cooked well but I had to say 3 stars as all the food tasted as if it was all cooked from frozen. The prawns in the cocktail have no taste. The chicken had little taste. The steak much the same. Only the cauliflower cheese and other extra items had the flavor that could be expected. Would I go back? Yes. Although a bit bland the food was well presented and at good prices.

A lovely family friendly pub/restaurant, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Disabled friendly . The prices suit everyone's budget and excellent sized portions which are all fresh and made in house. Once eaten here you will return as the standards are so much higher than the price suggests.. Quiz nights, steak nights , plenty of parking an all round delightful experience. The general manager was extremely friendly, helpful and a lovely guy to boot. All staff genuinely seem happy and are willing to go that extra mile for your dining experience. Really can't find any negatives in this establishment a must visit for all from single dining to family lunch/evening meal.. Extremely impressed and thoroughly looking forward to our next visit..

Went as a group booking of 8 and we all chose the Sunday roast dinner option. One vegan, one child, three duos and 3 beef. The menu said gravy on the side but it turned up on our plates and not one of us enjoyed the parsnips or potatoes. They tasted frozen then left in a hot hold until served. The meat was delicious though. Very disappointing as the food on the main menu is great. Prawn cocktails starter was great, rhubarb tart, chocolate brownie sundae, Eton mess and Belgian waffles were all delicious. Avoid the roast!

Delicious Sunday lunch, great quality of meat, lovely seasonal veg and great portions. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the trio of meats, my partner had the Turkey and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Looking forward to eating here again.
