   We were in the position for the first time ever, of having to look for a cattery for our two girls. We were not really happy with anywhere we visited, in fact I found the thought of it all very upsetting. Our girls our thoroughly spoilt and have never spent a night away from home and they are 11 & 10 years old. So this was a big deal for us and them. Safe to say we only wanted the very best place and care for them. Dunes is that extra special place. We are so glad we have found them !! The whole place is immaculate, scrupulously clean ,like new and the rooms spacious. James and Kristina ( the owners) are simply delightful. Professional, friendly and really understood how difficult it was for us leaving them for the first time. They were so reassuring. They kept in contact with us while we were away with pictures/ videos/ messages which was brilliant and made such a difference. The girls were given lots of one to one attention. All our VERY / Fussy specific needs were met. ( Water fountain/ 2 litter trays/ feeding instructions ) Nothing was too much trouble. Nobody could be fussier then us , and honestly everything was perfect. The girls were very happy and relaxed. Very happy with cost too. An amazing couple with an amazing place, they have honestly thought of everything. Booking etc incredibly efficient. We cannot thank you enough.

   We explored so many cat-care options from arranging overnight stays at relatives or allowing visitors to check in at ours. None of those options were a good fit for our cat. Our minds were at ease after consulting with Dune View Cattery. They were remarkably welcoming on the phone and had no issues with a site visit before we committed. We just concluded a trial stay and were delighted. Dune View Cattery is attuned to not only the needs of the cat but also the owners. Sensing we were a little apprehensive, they provided us with photos and updates. It is a family run business who care about animals and I can see that the cats are well looked after. There is a range of accommodation options and the area is spotless. The outlook is gorgeous with plenty to keep the cats occupied. They check in regularly and the cats seemed content and happy. Ours certainly looked settled in the photos and when we picked him up. Located near Balmedie, just west of the A90, Dune View Cattery is in a quiet location, free of traffic and disturbance. I am already planning another stay, allowing my family to book a long weekend without the dread of knowing if our cat is OK. I cannot thank Dune View Cattery enough.

   I boarded my indoor cat for 11 nights here, and she came back happy as a clam. The "accommodation" she moved into was clean and roomy. Communication with James beforehand and after was great, especially since we had some travel delays. Would definitely book them again.

   Our cat has enjoyed several stays at Dune View Cattery. Kristina and James, the owners, are very welcoming. The cattery has been upgraded under their new ownership. There is now an office. I feel that our cat is very well cared for and safe while we are out of town. Kristina is great at catering for each cat's requirements. Our cat has never seemed distressed after a stay at Dune View.

   Highly recommend Dune View. Pens are roomy and absolutely spotless. The care that was show to my cat can’t be faulted. The owner has many animals of her own- all safely segregated I might add- and I felt very comfortable leaving my wee one whilst we were away. Have booked again as I wanted a cattery with inside heating- that’s how impressed I was.

   Rude from moment we met, wouldn’t listen to me, didn’t want me to see where my cat would be staying (I insisted however) and also talked down about my cat (what he eats and his size, despite him being a healthy size). Other circumstances meant we didn’t end up leaving our cat here. But due to the disappointing treatment and service, I wouldn’t ever consider this cattery in the future.
