Once again this garage to the rescue. Was relayed in unexpectedly, not pre-booked so a slight delay in getting to my car. Quoted, invoice cheaper than quote, you only pay for what they have done. They have my trust.

So I seem to have decided, indirectly, to test many dealerships in the area. Coming from South Africa, now having so many mechanics nearby, its a strange thing for me - so here it goes. I used Clarks for a water pump, thermostat and cooling system flush. It was initiated by me as I am an engineer who knows that 80k miles requires some default changes for a car, unless you want a head gasket replacement cost. Emailed a couple companies and Clarks was the first to respond which implies efficiency. Quote was in line with other "Google" tests I had done. Man hours for changes and effort was also reasonable as I have done this myself in the past,. Car in and out was as planned and the response from the mechanic proved I was making a good call - he said the bearings were failing and the seals had started to weep. Seems like I am an all or nothing, but they get 5 stars from me. I think in life you are either happy or unhappy with service, so a digital outcome is not really an issue. I can say that the personal or soft experience was also one which would justify a high five.
Once again a great service. Friendly, honest, quick and well priced. The best garage in the area. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else if I can help it.
What a find, has to be one of the best local garages if not the best. My wife's Mini had a brake vibration, I called Clarks and asked them for a quote and asked if it was best to deal direct or book it via a 3rd party, they were really honest and said check the price, given that answer I booked it directly with them, I liked the honesty, the job was give or take £300, the morning the car was dropped off, I got a call saying we don't think it needs all this work, and you might be able to save some money (quite a lot actually) In the long run they tried a few things, re building a brake calliper and sadly it didn't fix the problem , so they had to change all the brakes and pads, but, they never charged for that 'investigation' work, or re building the calliper, they just charged for the original work, and even then it still came in about £30 cheaper.... overall, great communication, great work, and a great company and team, can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you.
I have been taking my vehicles to Clarke's for many years and always found them to be a good place to go. Steve the owner is a very knowledgeable man and will always say if something needs doing and will give you a fair price for the work. When any work is done, its always done to the very highest of standards and I have no complaints about customer service which is exemplary as always! I would highly recommend this garage for all your servicing and MOT needs.
