They had my car in for a diagnostic assessment of the fault codes on my automatic transmission. From the worry that the car would need a new gearbox costing ££££££££ to fixing the fault with a software update which cost me £. Am very impressed and pleased. Would recommend this garage. Excellent service.
Have been using them for many years currently servicing and carrying out MOT'S on both cars never had any problems. They have collected and serviced our friends car who is abroad. Cannot speak too highly but I am sure they would deal with any events professionally. Brian Cullum

Con-artists! Don’t go anywhere near them. Far better, and cheaper, places around. I was staying with family last summer and a front headlight bulb went. I went to St Helen’s Service Station because the Google reviews were good. More fool me! They charged me £48 for replacing a bulb - it took maximum 30 minutes. When I queried the extortionate price I was told ‘Volvo front headlights are difficult to get to, hence the £40 charge for work’. Yesterday, I went to get the other front headlight replaced at a different garage and was charged £15 - £8 for the bulb and £7 for the 5 minutes it took. When I asked how easy the bulb was to get to they physically showed me. I asked if it was £40 worth of work and they laughed and said ‘absolutely not - whatever garage charged you that was taking you for a ride!’ I wish I’d had the confidence to challenge it further. Hopefully I can save another person from their terrible service. I suspect if you are a young woman by yourself they just see an opportunity to make a lot of cash. Don’t waste your time or money.

My son's car broke down on The Duver, just as we had arrived on holidays. AA towed to St Helen's garage and although very busy, managed to repair before our return home. Fortunately we didnt need 2 cars for the holiday, only to travel. My son said excellent, friendly service and at a very realistic cost. The AA had explained the problem. Highly recommended.
The service here continues to be exemplary in terms of integrity and the quality of work. You have peace of mind when you take your baby here for sure. You know it will be well cared for and that the workmanship will be ‘onpoint’ ! Just make sure you are patient good service takes time ... please don’t give these lovely peeps a hard time they are doing their very best for your passengers and your safety !!
