   went in today to possibly get school shoes was unsure on if we where buying today or not but wanted to get the child’s feet measured anyhow as it’s been over a year since the last measurement which was in this store . anyhow was greeted by one of the older staff members lady with grey hair who was extremely rude when i told her i was in for feet measurement and possibilitie of buying school shoes but unsure she replied with that if we aren’t buying today there’s no point measuring? which came across really rude so we ended up looking and leaving as it did feel pressured. i do work in the centre myself and have done for four and half years and would of always of shopped in connolys (clark’s) don’t think we will be back after todays experience

My son loves his cool, new school shoes. Very helpful, informative and friendly staff. Would highly recommend. Will definitely go to the Newry shop again. A big thanks from my son and I.

   Amid and eased lockdown, I phoned in desperation for a pair of shoes for my child for a special occasion the next day. Not only did the lady put the shoes aside for me, but when we got there she provided a changing stool outside for my daughter. She then calmly talked me through how to feel for the fit of the shoes. From my description she was happy to fetch a half size bigger. None of this is easy. Especially when the restrictions on store entry are so tight, but I felt her treatment was very good. I had to fetch cash though as the in store payments were all shut down.

   When shopping in Connolly's Shoes I had always found staff to be helpful and polite but when I approached a member of staff on Saturday 4th July to ask if there were any other colours available in a particular shoe I was told very curtly that she 'was with someone and that I would just have to wait my turn'. While I can appreciate that there is increased stress on staff due to Corona virus, there is also increased stress on customers particularly the elderly and I was very disappointed with this response and found it rude and offensive.
