   I visited a few weeks ago and was very happy with the friendliness, warmth, and professionalism of all the staff. The facilities were all clean and very well maintained. My appt. was with Chiara & Agi, who were both extremely kind and explained things thoroughly to me. No stress at all, and very efficient with their work. Post appt. I had a lovely chat with Julie regarding further care (if I was interested in paying the monthly membership fee, rebooking appts, etc.) - she was very helpful also. I can highly recommend this dental practice - extremely convenient to get to (bus stop just down the road) and well worth the money.

   Dentists have never been high on my ‘Go to’ places and for years I have been from one to another, leaving after not receiving a great service, and always feeling anxious before and during. I have to say, Clarendon Dentist, is by far the best I’ve ever been to. Very friendly reception in fact, I felt at first I was going to receive a glass of Prosecco! The introduction appointment was with a very caring dentist and assistant. They went through everything they were going to complete, including a verification MRI scan to confirm a required treatment, with a narration of the image so I was fully up to speed. The subsequent Root Canal, was unbelievable. Always kept aware of what they were doing. Ensured I was totally pain free throughout. Kind, supportive. So support, that after just 5 minutes of being in the room I felt at ease. There were so good, I was actually taping my feet to the radio whilst they were working on me! And for me, that is very unusual! I’m 54 years old, and without doubt, this is the best dentist I have ever visited. Kricky!! I left there happy! :-)

   Five-star care at Clarendon Dental and Orthodontic Practice. I’ve been under Dr. Maria Shawyer’s care for almost two years and I couldn’t recommend her more. She is thorough, calm, and gentle—always explaining options clearly and focusing on minimally invasive solutions. Kelly, Dr. Maria’s assistant, is consistently kind and efficient, which makes every visit smooth. The front-of-house team is professional as well—special thanks to Faye, who, although a nurse, often helps on reception with real professionalism and dedication, creating a great patient experience. Van (who has since left the clinic) was also very professional and left a great impression. After two years of consistent, high-quality treatment, I confidently recommend Dr. Maria Shawyer and the Clarendon Dental team to anyone seeking reliable, patient-centred dental care.

   I had such a wonderful time at the dentist. A statement that isn’t always heard, but that was my experience. As soon as I got in, I was greeted with the warmest welcome, amazing smiles and great energy from Julie and Alison. I was in to visit the hygienist (Mansoor) and he was absolutely fantastic, he took his time on my teeth and you could just tell he pays immense attention to detail, he was also very welcoming and answered all my questions (I can be very curious). Mansoor’s assistant Kerry was also very encouraging whilst my clean was being done and trust me, those little encouragements were needed. Altogether, a wonderful place to be.

   I went in as a new patient for an emergency appointment, and I can honestly say the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. From the moment I phoned, the receptionist was so kind and calming, she really helped me calm down on the phone when I was in a panic, which made such a difference. When I arrived, I was treated with so much care and understanding. Before I even went into the dentist’s room, I spoke to Leighanne, the dental nurse, who I actually recognised from a previous dentist I’d seen many years ago. She immediately put me at ease, was so friendly, and took the time to talk me through everything. I’m a very nervous patient and struggle with panic attacks, but everyone made sure I was okay all the way through. They explained everything clearly, checked my mouth, and talked me through the treatment options. I ended up needing an extraction on the day, and although I was extremely anxious, Rupert (my dentist) and Leighanne were absolutely brilliant. Rupert reassured me, explained every step, and helped me stay calm, while Leighanne stayed by my side the whole way through, even holding my hand during the treatment. Their kindness and understanding made such a huge difference. I couldn’t have asked for a better dentist or team. For anyone who is nervous about going to the dentist, I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Truly amazing care.

   I have an inherent fear of Dentists but was very impressed with Chiara, who is gentle, considerate and has a wonderful professional manner. She devised a comprehensive treatment plan for me and explained in detail what she proposed. I would highly recommend her services to anyone and am delighted to have found her.

   Booked an emergency appointment, lucky to get seen that same day and had my Wisdom tooth removed there and then after X-rays! Very pricey but the team are so welcoming, efficient and professional. Thank you especially to Dr Maria and Alison for being so helpful.

   I had my first time patient consultation recently and the level of care and service was incredible. I had a lovely, warm welcome from reception and was handed a welcome pack before being shown to the waiting room. The pack contained a picture and profile of the dentists and a detailed list of services. The waiting room is relaxing, clean and comfortable - very helpful when a dentist trip makes you anxious. The manager kindly informed me of a 10 minute delay before my appointment and immediately gave me a voucher for compensation. I was happy to wait anyway but the voucher was a lovely bonus. My appointment was incredibly detailed and they did a thorough look at every tooth (appointment was about 45 minutes). The dentist and the assistant were both smart, kind and friendly. I dont like the bright lights and they gave me sunglasses and let me listen to my music so I was comfortable. They showed me my X-rays and scans and we worked together to create a treatment plan going forward. Incredible service from the moment I walked through the door and I genuinely couldn’t fault them at all. Never thought I would say this… but I’m excited about my next trip to the dentist!

   I hadn’t been to the dentist for a while and for the first time (ever!) I have a wonderful dentist in Maria. The team were so helpful and lovely and made me feel at ease from the moment I walked into the practice, explaining every step of the visit; their methods and why they were doing each part of the investigations they made me feel part of things and not in the least bit terrified (hey - we have all been there!). Appointment was 45 mins for a new patient including X-rays and overview/check up and I finally got to the bottom of all the issues that my previous male dentist had glossed over; or had not explained correctly. It was thorough and Maria is extremely professional. X-rays were taken and options of treatment were outlined. Everything was super clean and efficient and I would recommend anyone to go and see this amazing dentist for a supportive and helpful answer to your dental questions and queries. You can’t put a price on your health or teeth; so get them checked out today. I believe that they also offer dental insurance plans too, so this may be an option if you’re not covered (for example) by private medical insurance or cover etc Picture shows the waiting room area for patients on the hall floor level of the dental surgery near reception. Notes: accessibility; contact the practice for this as there are stairs to the front and also stairs to all floors. This is because the building is a house conversion.
