   Sent my son here this morning 1st January 2026 to purchase a silicone gun. Two female staff chatting, laughing and joking. He excused them to ask where the silicone guns were in the store ?. One said "What do you want ?" This is an impolite address to a customer. Why not say "How can I help you ?". These older women need retrained in customer service. Often myself while in this store I observe these women chatting, and no focus on the customer, talking about their own stuff and the chatting is not work related. I have gone through till sales with not even a "hello" my goods are scanned and the amount of the purchase is all that is spoken to me, I have to ask for my receipt because they are so distracted talking their stuff to one another. I won't be back, I will travel the extra distance to the Lisburn store where I get better service overall.

   Great customer service from at least two members of staff yesterday. One being a very friendly man who helped me find what I was looking for and then lifted the heavy box into my trolley for me. Made my way to check out and was greeted by Brenda who was already helping two seperate customers but also managed to serve me as well. That was three happy customers within a very short time!!! This lovely lady is an absolute gem. Her friendly professional manner and personality are an asset to the Newry branch.

   Was in the store today looking at roof sealant. A member of staff came and gave very helpful advice including the best way of applying the sealant. She was spot on. The easiest job thanks to her detailed advice. Thank you to her. I'm afraid I don't know her name.

My husband who has MS lost his balance and had a fall she knew exactly what to do , how to lift on a wheelchair got him water she was so confident and pleasant Thank You so much.    Bought bags of manure which were stored outside. Had to put them into a trolley. They were filthy, busted and I'd say probably been there for a long time. Had to put Jean's, coat into the wash when I got home. Very poor service and products. I worked for the company and never would have had customers lift and carry them to their car. Very poor service indeed.

   one star less because some of the men working there are not trained and incompetent when looking for an item. Basically you are on your own when entering. Well supplied with all sorts of building materials.
