Made an online booking via the Fastfit website, which was accepted and email confirmation received. On arrival at the service shop the receptionist had no knowledge of a booking and told me they have issues with web bookings, that they're fully booked and i would have to come back after Christmas. Very poor. If your website isn't working then take it down.

Living in Crossgar and being a close community I was in 2 minds about posting this review. But as someone recently pointed out to us if they did this again to someone just like the Post Office you might be made to feel this has only happened to you. In December 23 the SUV was taken into Bells because oil had been drained from the gearbox and not enough was replaced. We were told that we'd need another gearbox. After hunting online for a gearbox we had one delivered. FF wasn't able to fit it until the 5th January. This is taken from the letter we sent them: Before Christmas we had issues with our Skoda Yeti and needed work done. In this case fitting a supplied gear box, flywheel and at my request a new slave cylinder. When I collected the vehicle from you on 5th January the service invoice said you had taken the car for a drive, road testing it and a wash. Though when we picked it up the next day the car looked dirty and it wouldn’t start. If you remember we had to jump start the car which is strange as if the car had been road tested the battery would not have been dead. But we were just glad to get the car back after a dismal few weeks of being without it. The bill for this work was £1497.31. The car had been used just for short drives picking boys up to school and shopping and only for the first time when heading up to Derry going 60mph did the car show signs of serious faults, noises coming from underneath though the noise did go away once speed was reduced. I looked under the car by taking the wheels off. I found on the right front wheel the bolt that secures the disc to the wheel had sheared off and was only held in place by the wheel bolts. Though of course this would not have been the cause of the rumbling noise so we took the car into yourselves. On looking at the car you said the propshaft had worn away and that this can sometimes happen. * You can see what the propshaft looked like in photo. FF informed us that a new propshaft incl fitting would be approx £2500. We did ask at the time why didn't they spot this when attaching the propshaft back to the engine. They said we had worn it away since we had picked it up. If you look at the photo how can it go from round to oval in a short space of time? Instead of buying a new propshaft I scoured the net for a used one and found one at T-Met (Traynors) for £100. They had a look at the old propshaft to make sure they were the same and immediately said the damage was not from wear & tear but had not been put back correctly and were lucky we didn't have a serious accident. I asked them to write down what they had just told me. * See photo I went back to reception spoke to the man at the desk wanting to give them a 2nd chance and asked him if he was sure it was down to wear and tear to which he replied. "100%" So we took the car to Skoda specialists Mervyn Stewart and they confirmed what T Met had said that it had been replaced incorrectly. They installed the propshaft and the car has been on the road since driving fine. We wrote to FastFit showing the documents from Mervyn Stewart and the photos and after 2 months we received a cheque for the Used propshaft & work done by Mervyn Stewart approx £350. We only received the cheque. No note. No letter of apology. Nothing. We have 3 young boys and they gave us the car back in a dangerous condition that could have caused a serious accident. On top of that they wanted us to pay for their mistake. And not one word of apology. The only word I can use to describe FastFit is 'CRIMINAL'.

They are decent guys in here but last time I was there I rang up for 2 wheels to be balanced and was booked in and told on the phone is was only £5, this seemed remarkably cheap so I questioned the price and they said yeah it only takes a few minutes. When I went to pay it was £19 which is more expensive than kwik fit. Happy enough but that is why it loses a star.

Really quick service. Was able to book the car in online which was great, they took my mini and had to order parts etc and still had it back to me within two days. They explain what you need in a friendly manner, not like some other garages who take you for a fool! Really impressed and will be back

Great staff & great service from both tyre department and service department. Have been using Fast fit for over 4 years for tyres and servicing on my last car and current car. I have always found them to be flexible, reasonably priced and the work gets done right. I would highly recommend Fastfit to anyone needing to get their car sorted out!
