   Not a bit supprised Homebase Chichester is closing. Our experience of staff and particular the manager is poor to say the least. Decided to spend our monies in retail stores who know how to treat and values the customer and their experience and is respectful to both them and the values of the organisation they represent. Definately not in this store. Hopefully this manager will not be assigned to another store.

   Homebase – a bit on the pricey side, but hey, everything’s on sale now, so maybe it’s worth a browse. You can snag some good deals if you’re lucky. Oh, and it’s in that weird phase after going into administration, but don’t let that stop you. Just remember to keep an eye on your wallet!

   My auntie is moving to a town local to Home-based and had been looking for ideas on a new bathroom and kitchen. She found the perfect kitchen (with a few tweaks). The gentleman working g in that department, was very helpful and knowledgeable.

   Today we were very impressed with your lady employee in the garden area who was extremely helpful when my elderly mother desperately needed toilet facilities. Unfortunately we didn't get the name of your employee, but she was so kind, caring and helpful that we feel she should be praised for her care and consideration towards us . Time was approximately 12.30 to 1pm ish.

   As it was, Bunnings was better. Sadly, the general UK customer did not prefer the practicalities of Bunnings' extensive range of products and quality Australian tools (Trojan, Kinchrome etc). Now the last of the Bunnings stock has been sold, we're left with more kitchen etc showroom, seasonal decorations, and a limited medley of DIY procurement experiments. That's what the British public wanted, that's what they got, and Bunnings sold it off for £1 to get here. Interesting.

   I really like this store, it's just a shame I don't live nearer. It is big and roomy inside with an outdoor section too. We have tried click and collect and that was fine. We checked stock availability online and turned up to purchase and that worked fine too. The end of season price on a couple of large pots we bought was nearly half the price of similar items at local garden centres. Plenty of selection of items for sale and this has to be a first stop for many of your home and DIY needs. I have no doubt we'll be back for something else soon.

   Went in forna new lawnmower. On the downside, they had no corded mowers in stock! On the upside, Vic was excellent in explaining how the new cordless mowers worked, and helped me select the right one for my needs. Thank you Vic for your help, which was invaluable!

   Friendly staff. However, the pricing structures on paint (for example) seem odd (see pictures) Disappointed by purchasing something on click and collect and B&Q not notifying me before I arrived that it was not in stock ! Had that been the only item I was getting this review would have less stars !! Well stocked store, nonetheless.
