A handy shop especially for quick stops. Has self service checkout to help cut queues at counter.

I find it frankly ridiculous that the store has to resort to security tagging individual cans of Red Bull. I expect it won't be deactivated upon paying at the self service checkout meaning that it will set the alarm off on the way out. Didn't bother buying any in the end - will go somewhere else. Why don't you put a barrier in place like they have in some supermarkets where you have to scan your receipt to get out. I also suspect those security tags render those cans unrecyclable also, meaning you are also damaging the environment doing this. I get why people shop lift in Co-op stores though - prices are so disgustingly high that no-one can afford to buy any more than a couple of items in them.

They have been given cool headsets which means they just have a chat with each other when you go to the till (when they aren't too busy to serve you, you're lucky if they don't tut). As an added bonus it's the most expensive shop in the area!

As Co Ops go this is probably in the lowest 5 in the City. If I were to rank them all that is. Thing is, it’s totally personal but I just find the aisles in this Co-Op don’t allow for proper browsing room. Plus there’s always a big old trolley in the way of my favourite crisps. It’s not ideal really Hope it changes. I’ll be back soon to find out

Very poor selection and badly stocked when I questioned this staff member just shrugged and said everything gets stolen regularly. Also have closed early in numerous occasions before the advertised 10pm. Particularly annoying when you've just finished work.

The selection could be better and the prices are not the cheapest but it's convenient and reasonable althou sometimes understaffed, and it's a more morally motivated business than other supermarkets.

Closing before advertised time. I get it, it’s nearly home time and you want to shut but I walked for a mile to make the store before 10pm. I arrived at 9:55pm to find the door lock and see the staff taking the tills off. All I get is a smug head shake from the staff members when I knock. People rely on these stores. Pretty poor service I’d say!

Well l am more than Impressed with Co-op. I had £8.00 debited from my account for some thing l did not purchase on Saturday 9th. Today l queried Co-op ready with the relevant paperwork details and expect ing a lengthy process of getting my £8.00, which could have happened. To my surprise and delight the duty manager knew instantly how deal with issue. Impressed. Well done Co-op.

The pricing here is more elevated than the store on Albert Rd near Festing. Identical items are 50p more. Be aware. One way system is not evident, staff brush past you with zero distancing. Man at counter is nice.
