Not sure why there are many bad reviews. The cashier was very polite. The store is not big but has all the essential items.
When I visited recently with my tall black friend the staff definitely racially profiled him and were following us around the store. Incredibly rude staff in general but this crossed the line for me. You should be ashamed. I should have said something but honestly I was shocked!
Not exactly friendly when the staff ask what you're doing in there... I wanted a sandwich? She never told me where they were though, and at the till staff were quite sarcastic towards me.
The staff are always really friendly to me here... They are always packed I don’t know how they keep so cheerful when it seems like one of the busiest co-ops in Portsmouth. They are also the most easy shop to call up. I’ve spoken to a few shops on the phone in the past, being too lazy to walk a really long way if they aren’t going to stock what I fancy, and the lady I spoke to this evening was so full of bubbliness that I didn’t feel at all like a pain (even though I totally was). Highly recommend
Staff are wonderful - always welcoming, friendly & helpful. Big range of products for a relatively small store & well stocked shelves, although things can be a bit on the pricey side. Bargains can be picked up on pretty much a daily basis when stock is reduced for quick sale or being discontinued. All in all, everything you need from your local 'corner' shop.
