    Called in for a swift pint. Saw the quality of the bar food and had to have some. Good portion of scampi. The pub has two large rooms each with a pool table. The pub was reasonably busy for a Friday lunch time. There were enough beers to choose from although no cask ale. The atmosphere was great and the music from the juke box added to this. I can see why locals use this place.

    The Meadows pub (formally the swallow), is an estate pub a large car park and plenty of outside seating. It has a large games room with a darts board and a full size snooker table. The bar has a pool table and darts board a nice comfortable room decorated with loads football shirts. It has the usual range of beers including John Smith's bitter, sadly no hand pulled real ale. A nice friendly community pub.
