The new remodeling in the store is terrible the aisles are so small now you can barely get two people down them your literally shoulder to shoulder and not taking accessibility in to the equation. They also have removed the cafe which is a terrible move including the restrooms Apart from the store going down hill the only saving grace is the staff are so friendly Staff 5 star Store 1 star

Why has M&S closed this cafe and removed the customer toilets in order to add several self service tills ? Greed and profit ! Very short sighted as cafe may not have been making a huge profit but people met and then shopped there. Staff told me they will be able to stock 80% of the food range but if people gave huge trolleys of food they won’t use the self serve tills ? Thus is indicative of putting service and customer needs last . I see many elderly shoppers loyal to M&S who need a toilet on site and who enjoyed a social outing in the cafe before or after shopping . They already closed central Portsmouth store so we all have to drive to Ocean Park or Havant . I’m defecting to Southsea Waitrose now for a free coffee with my shop!

Free parking out side M&S. Good food hall. Great choices. Coffee shop inside. Everything well displayed. Lots of special offers today.

M&S Café: One Sandwich Isn’t a Choice In 2022, I asked whether I could eat a gluten-free sandwich from the Foodhall inside the M&S Café at Ocean Retail Park. The café had none in stock. I picked one up from the shop and returned — only to be told I couldn’t eat it there or pay for it at the café till. The manager cited Natasha’s Law, saying only café-stocked sandwiches were safe. That interpretation was incorrect. After three months of written communication, I received a letter confirming I could eat a shop-bought gluten-free sandwich in the café, and that the manager had been mistaken. In 2025, for the first time, a staff member took me into the Foodhall to choose a gluten-free sandwich when the café had none. She said, “I want to make sure you get to eat what you want.” That moment wasn’t just kind — it proved that safe expansion is possible when dignity leads the way. But the bigger issue hasn’t changed: The café still offers just one gluten-free sandwich: toasted cheese That isn’t real choice — and it’s often out of stock M&S sells gluten-free sausage rolls, bacon rolls, and sandwiches in the shop — yet none are offered in the café All café food is prepackaged, and gluten-free sandwiches are toasted in sealed bags and only opened at the table — preventing cross-contamination If the safety protocol is already in place, and the range already exists, why is there still only one option? Kindness in the moment matters. But access shouldn’t rely on improvisation. It should be built into the offer.

Went in on a busy Saturday lunch admittedly to have a coffee and cake, there were 4 of us and I'm in a wheelchair, my friend needs a doggy to guide her and there were limited places we could go. Then came the exceptional Marks and Spencers Sarah, she ensured there was a comfortable place for us to sit. Helped us order and checked in on us throughout. She was absolutely exceptional and an absolute credit to Marks and Spencers. Thank you so much

A nice branch of M&S. There is a spacious car park in front so there is no need to worry about your parking.

My visit today was to return a online parcel back, The manager served me, He was very polite, pleasant and friendly during the interaction. The store was clean and tidy, same as the cafe. May be tempted to use it on my next visit.
