Our experience yesterday was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Firstly, the booking process itself was unnecessarily difficult. I had to call three times and speak to three different people just to confirm that our booking actually existed on the system. A few days before the booking, I then received a cancellation notification, only to have to chase again and be reassured that the booking was back on the system. We also submitted our pre-order three separate times to multiple email addresses, and when this was finally confirmed, our table time was pushed back by 30 minutes. On the day, we arrived early and were seated at 2:30pm, which was appreciated as it was cold and very busy. Unfortunately, this is where the experience went downhill. By 3:15pm, no one had spoken to us regarding our pre-order. At 3:30pm, we chased this and were told it would be 15–20 minutes. This continued back and forth until 4:45pm, with still no food. It was clear something had gone seriously wrong, as multiple tables began walking out of the pub. The new manager was left to take the brunt of everyone’s frustration and, to his credit, handled the situation as well as he could by offering money off drinks. However, this does not change the fact that we left unfed and extremely disappointed, especially as we had two children with us. Thankfully, The Potting Shed were able to accommodate us for food, but this completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable visit. Overall, the level of organisation and service from The King’s Head was unacceptable, and we will be thinking very carefully before returning.

Absolutely terrible. We pre ordered food for 14 people 2 weeks prior. On arrival we were seated in a cold back room with no music. We stood in a queue before been seated for 20 mins for drinks. Our booking was at 2pm we arrived 1.30pm so in good time. Noine came to our table for nearly an hour to ask us if we were ok , needed drinks, or to explain the situation they were in. The pre order was completely wrong, we received our starters with 3 missing over an hour after been seated. The 3 missing ones came 20 mins later. Table not cleared , pre order for mains wrong. Mains came out over 2.5 hours after arrival. Cold, over cooked snd thrown together. No sides as they said they didn't have any. We found bits of the baking tray in the meat. On speaking to the staff , they'd all been brought in from other places including whoever was in the kitchen that day with some travelling over an hour to cover people that had all left the day before. They had noone that knew what the were doing , no stock , no food for the people who had pre ordered it was just a shambles. Ruined our family Christmas day out. I think the situation should have been communicated to customers before their arrival, this would have saved Alex and his team alot of Grief and given customers the option of having their day ruined. Credit to Alex, put in charge and set up to fail from the moment he started his shift. We won't be returning unfortunately unless things dramatically improve..

Birthday meal. We had booked The kings Head Beverly because we visited the Flying Childers Melton Mowbury (sister pub) and had a great experience. The Journey, on arrival at the Kings Head, it took a few minutes to find are three person booking, after we established we had booked we were shown to the table and handed the menus two minutes later the waiter came back and said he was sorry but the menu was off and gave use a revised A4 sheet with not a lot on offer, he said this was due to a fire in the kitchen the previous evening. I did say to him they could have informed us by email the next morning about the problem and we maybe could have changed our venue, but why would they do that. The first course we had in mind to have was not available of course so only one ordered bbc chicken strips (pic). Three mains two lamb and one beef pie. The pie was ok carrots bit dry(pic) the lamb not cooked as ordered comments were tough grizzly fatty not very hot after (pic). Sweets chocolate brownie comment best part of the meal. vanilla cheesecake comment no cherry compote dry.lemon pie very good. The hole experience took just over two hours very slow service restaurant was a third full and being called mate by the waiter is maybe not the best. A poor night at The Kings Head Beverly. We were give three free drinks? as a sorry.

Called in here for a drink during a Saturday visit on a gloriously sunny day. We sat in the back courtyard which was pleasant and watched the world go by. We ordered drinks via a QR code on the table but they did seem to take ages to arrive unfortunately. When the did arrive they were nice and cold. I liked the small lager glass. We did check out the inside which seemed nice and well presented. Although we didn't eat anything here lots of people were eating and the food looked good.

We stayed overnight at The Kings Head and it was really lovely, the room was clean, light and spacious. We enjoyed an evening meal and also a breakfast which were both delicious. The staff were all attentive and also friendly.

I stayed here overnight for my 40th Birthday celebrations and it didn't disappoint. We have been to Beverley before but not to the Kings Head and what a great welcome we were given. Elliot the manager on duty could not do enough for us, he was friendly, helpful about the area and knowledgeable about the food menu. He kindly gave us a couple of drinks tokens and thanked us for booking direct, which was a nice touch. He informed us of the 20% off of the food bill too if we ate in. The room itself was lovely and comfortable. We stayed in room 6 which has a free standing bath in the room a lovely boutique touch. It was nicely decorated, had a pod coffee machine, cookies and bottled water which was nice. The food in the restaurant was amazing, they clearly have very talented chefs!! Scallops and Ribeye steak cooked perfectly, a very delicious menu accompanied by an equally delicious wine menu. Once we had eaten we went for a walk around the town to let dinner settle before returning for a nightcap. The bar tenders were great, chatty and knowledgeable about the drinks on tap. All this followed by a fantastic night's sleep and an equally amazing breakfast made our stay 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend!! We appreciate the pub/restaurant was quiet as it is midweek but would love to see it bouncing too at the weekend. Will definitely be back!

Exceptional hotel in the very centre of the historic market town of Beverley in East Yorkshire. Great central location for shops, bars and pubs. We booked a suite at a very reasonable price, we had a separate bedroom, bathroom, dressing area and lounge. The lounge included a Victorian type free standing bath! The check-in was quick and simple. The young lady showed us to the room. Little extras included great toiletries, tea pigs, 2 x TV's and a couple of packets of a salted nuts and chocolate mixture, yum. The room was very clean with a lovely bed. We went out for dinner but returned later to the great bar area for really well priced drinks. Breakfast was served in the separate restaurant. Great choice of hot and cold. Tea and coffee was served at the table. We chose the eggs benedict at £8 extra which was first class. All in all a great place to stay, I would really recommend this pub/hotel. Five stars!

Popped in for a bite to eat with the family. The kids had a Margarita Pizza which they devoured. I went for a Rump Steak which was delicious, and my wife had a Burger. In all a very pleasant meal and to be honest it exceeded my expectations.

Lovely pub during the day, with great service and amazing food. Food was so good i didn't remember to take a picture, before i started eating! Night club in the evening: music not up to my taste, but good atmosphere and you get 20% off all F&B. The rooms are lovely and, despite the disclaimer email, quieter than what you would expect in a pub. I love it and we are definitely coming back!
