The blue bell is a traditional local on the main street. A drinking pub, not a food pub. There is a good range of beers larger and cider, including hand-pulled cask conditioned real ale, which was in excellent condition when I called in. There is no car park but free on street parking nearby.
We went with friends for Sunday lunch. They don't have the Sunday roast or carvery like a lot of places, but this didn't bother us as we are not massive fans of carveries. Three had steaks, and one had the large gammon. They were all very good. The service was good considering they were quite busy. Will go back.
