The last two Saturdays I have popped in with a friend on Saturday for two rounds of coffees upstairs and we thoroughly enjoyed it. But this week the man on the counter said he was fully booked at midday for people who were going to have food. Which is fair enough. However he then went on to say that if my friend and I wanted to have coffee on Saturdays in future we would need to get there at 10am...? How does he know he's going to be fully booked every Saturday lunchtime going forward? Previously there was another table free further along from us for the entire time we were there. The impression I got was that he didn't want customers only having a coffee and taking up a table, in case someone else turned up wanting food as well, which would of course make him more money. Very disappointing. Update: Thank you for your reply to my review but you didn't say we had to get there in future anytime between 10-12 if we wanted a coffee, you specifically told us we would have to be there at 10am, to which both myself and my friend replied that we can't get there for 10am

Highly recommend this lovely place in Emsworth. Well worth a visit. Fabulous, relaxing lunch. Melted Camembert, with artisan bread; olives; grape and chutney. Accompanied by a rather lovely bottle of Merlo(all for £20 for the 2 of us) Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the comfy room upstairs. Would have sat outside in the garden but it rained. Doesnt matter we still had a lovely time. We will be back. Thank you.

Just popped in for a bottle of red. Limited stock but took the friendly proprietor’s advice on a Sicilian number. It was £10 - wasn’t expecting fine wine but was expecting it to be drinkable, especially with such a glowing recommendation. It’s deeply unpleasant table wine that will be going in a gravy. I’m not local so can’t take it back. Feel a bit robbed.

Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We came in for a glass of wine in the afternoon and we were given some friendly advice of what to order. The wine we got was perfect for the two of us. The shop itself has a really decent selection of wines to suit all budgets.

Stopped by for a few glasses of wine and ended up having some food too. Opted for the Patê which was lovely, pork and chorizo which I believe was from a local supplier. I will definitely be back to try something else and samples a few more wines.

Emsworth's VIN wine merchants is a truly characterful venue that could have been there from the beginning of time. It's an absolute delight. Get yourself down there, enjoy the wine, chat to the knowledgeable and friendly Jonathan, and take away some great tastes with you. Have fun as we did. John and Cecily, Langstone.

Lovely and very, very cute wine shop / bar. We stumbled across it late so could only have one glass, but if it has been open longer we'd have been settling in for ages. Highly recommend!

Brilliant! Jonathan is fantastic, his service is great, as are his wines. I look forward to my monthly delivery and seeing what wonderful wines he has selected. Haven't had a bad one yet (and I'm hard to please)!
